The last few days we've been looking at a kid outta Tulsa, OK - Joshua Jacobs.

OU has completely missed on this kid, they just offered him earlier this week. Tulsa isn't that far from Norman (or Stillwater).

Burton Burns visited with him

That's not the same video I saw the other day, but his running style kind of reminds me of Reggie Bush. Very fluid and I don't know, maybe it's the way that he holds the ball, and can change direction at the drop of a hat. Reminds me a lot of Bush's high school highlights.

To which video are you referring? Mine is the 2014 season when he was at RB. The OP's is the 2015 season when he was at QB. He is rated as a RB in both seasons.

Neither, the one I saw was on YouTube, and was longer (like 14 minutes), but for all I know, it could have been both combined. I saw it a day or 2 ago and I was watching it on an iPad. Doesn't matter though, his running style is the same whether he's at qb or rb, very fluid, fast, quick change of direction, very good in the open field at setting up defenders, whether he has blockers or not, and specifically, I think the way he holds the football (kind of by the nose) and the way he swings it out (which is not necessarily a good thing) that reminds me a little of Reggie Bush.

I was just making an observation. I've never heard of the kid until I saw a post or article the other day about Alabama offering him.

It really is nice to be at the point where you don't put all of your hopes into one recruit. If this kid comes to Bama, great. He better be ready to work. If he doesn't, someone equally as good will. As long as Saban keeps finding guys that are willing to work hard, everything is going to be alright. The fact that he keeps finding top talent that is willing to work hard is what's so damned impressive. Roll Tide.

EDIT--
So, I found the video I was thinking about:

It starts out the same as the OP's video, but it is twice as long. I didn't watch the entirety of either of the YouTube video, so I can't say what the difference is. I blame my confusion on the iPad.

Great read. Alabama really doesn't have to sell football, so in a way, that's another advantage. They can spend more time talking about all the non-football things.

“More of the talk of education,” Jacobs said. “They didn’t make it so much about football. They showed me their engineering buildings and all of that. So that’s probably what pushed me the most.”
