Thank you!

I remember that when it happened, flashbulbs from all over the stadium were flashing. I'm surprised that it is not on you-tube. It was one of the funniest things I've ever seen at a game. Well maybe second to Tuberville hanging his head last year. Roll Tide!!!!:hyper:

Then and now... Can you folks imagine what some poor dude(s) would have to face if that happened and Saban had been on the sidelines that night? Who ever made the mistake that evening probably never heard from Shula about it after game... if that were to happen against, say, FIU this September however, there would probably be some new job openings on the UA job website come the following Monday morning (g).

That night

Had to go to you-tube just now and watch the catch again. Makes my neck hurt, but what an amazing catch. Such a shame that we lost Prothro later in the season.

I agree, if it happened now, someone would be looking for a job. Still, one of the funniest things I ever saw on a Saturday nite in Bryant Denny! (and I've seen alot)!

It really wasn't a mistake, per se....the sprinkler system is just set to go off at 10:00 or 10:15 pm, or something like that, and the game was running long. Even 6:05 kickoffs should be over with by then.

Do you remember Coach Stallings expression with the dog running on the field against Ohio State in the bowl game?
