Bama up 9-3, B6. Miller and McCants went back-to-back in the 6th... both extended their team lead in HR's to 12 apiece. Pretty cool on McCants, he's now HR'd in 5 different ballparks in Alabama this season.

Bama wins 11-10... Alton Davis II got 2/3 innings of work in the 9th and it turned into much more work than they were looking for as Samford scored 5 off of him... he's still struggling with his location which is getting him in trouble... he's got to get that fixed. Tyler Fay came in to get the last out (and save). Also, 3 errors by Bama... this team is far from the great defensive team that they had last year, but they've got get better with their fielding/defense... They don't have the bats the make up for unneard runs in conference play. Back up catcher Kameron Guangorena had a rough game. Gage Miller did add his 2nd HR of the game to give him 13 for the season.

Next up, 3 game series at Kentucky starting on Friday night...

Also, just a side note: Bama didn't have a hitter strikeout the entire game... and they drew 9 walks (against 8 Samford pitchers).

I’ll be honest, I really don’t understand JJ’s thinking about bringing AD in with a 6 run lead. He really doesn’t need the stress during the week and potentially be “unavailable” at some point during the weekend.
