šŸˆ 10 Reasons LSU will defeat Bama

1. Suspended Players are Back - Mathieu, Ware, and Simon will be back. They will be rejuvenated for football. Watching the game against Auburn was tough for them, and they are going to play their best.

2. Brad wing - We have the best punter in the country. This will be a game of field position, and with Wing LSU has the upper hand.

3. RB Depth - While Ware was out, you may have seen Kenny Hilliard dominate. Don't forget about Michael Ford either. Bama has 1 really good back, but LSU has way more depth.

4. 2 Qb System - Most teams struggle with a 2 qb system, but it is an advantage for LSU. Both Jefferson and Lee add something to the game and have to be game planned against. The combo defeated Bama last year and will do it again.

5. Reuben Randle - He simply can't be guarded right now. Dre Kirkpatrick can try, but Randle is doing what he wants against defenders.

6. D-line Depth - The LSU D-line made Clint Moseley cry. The depth is insane. Edwards, Mingo, Brockers, Freak, Logan, Montgomery, Rasco, Adams, Agayahere, and Downs will all see time at d-line.

7. Les Miles - Miles has out-coached Saban in the majority of these matchups, and this year will be no different. Saban is scared of the next fake punt, end around, etc...Miles is in Saban's head.

8. Night Game - LSU is 30-1 in away road night games in the past 10 years. This is an insane stat.

9. Kickoff Coverage - Alabama will be drawing straws to return kickoff's this week if they watched the LSU-Auburn game. LSU lit up Auburn 4 times in a row on kickoff returns.

10. Offensive Threats for Bama - Bama has 1 threat on offense. LSU will shutdown Richardson and can play the weak Bama Wr's 1 on 1. Mccaron will struggle.

Reasons LSU Loses:

1. The three losers are back.
2.LSU will have to use their stellar punt, early and often.
3. Bama has THE best RB in the nation.
4. LSU uses a 2 qb system.
5. Bama owns all wide receivers, Randle included.
6. There are no Clint Mosely's on Bama's team.
7. Miles wears Saban pajamas to bed.
8. LSU rarely plays Bama at night in Tuscaloosa. In fact, only once in the last ten years.
9. Alabama's special teams are lots better than Auburn's.
10. LSU cannot stop Bama's running or passing game.

Ok, I will bite and respond.

1. Shouldn't they play their best anyway? I doubt missing last week will improve their play next week.

2. Maze is a good enough punt returner to burn you on the smallest mistake. No kicker is perfect.

3. Bama has one very good back and three more that will also see the field. Lacy would start many places.

4. Lee hasn't been pressured THAT much this year. Whether you want to admit it or not, the two QB system will backfire at some point. If Lee struggled the team may become divided. Bama's LBs contained Cam and his running ability last year--I think we can all agree Jordan Jefferson is no Cameron Newton.

5. Dre is rated among the top cover corners in college football. Some here argue Menzies is better. Couple that with Baron and Lester playing over the top, he won't run wild. The first long score in the AU game was a blown coverage by a freshman. The other he beat the D but he is far from unstoppable.

6. Yes, LSU has a deep d-line. I think you'll see that their o-line is better than ours. I wouldn't bank on the same type of consistent pressure.

7. I'd take Nick over Les. Saban is very good in revenge games. Miles won it in 2007, Saban took it in 2008 and 2009. I'd hardly say splitting the series is dominant.

8. If you think a night game at BDS is in your favor that synthetic LSU weed must be amazing.

9. I think you'll find Trent will not shy away from contact. Maze will make a play. I assure you Bama isn't scared of your kick coverage. Impressive? Yes. Terrifying? No

10. McCarron hasn't had to air it out yet so you're talking blindly. He has been efficient this year. Trent will keep your D honest and their o-line is good enough to give their FOUR running backs some room and provide AJ enough time for someone to get open. Maze and Hanks are not slouches by any stretch.

All in all, you're looking at this through purple and gold lenses. You're clearly not well-read on Bama and over-simplify everything. LSU can absolutely win this game but they will not completely shut down Bama's O.

If you're basing this off your performance against us, it is a bit of an unfair comparison. We have a young, beat up o-line, we were down two receivers and giving a QB his first start. LSU played well but that game was a recipe for disaster for us. If I were you I'd read up on a team before posting foolishly.

And I'll go ahead and call it: Bama 33 LsWho? 12. Bama's gonna beat you idiots like a rented mule. Do you know how to "walk a mudhole dry?" Bama's going to give you a lesson in how. And I'm REALLY trying to keep clean for the kiddies.

Seriously? I'll play.

1.LSU will need their A-game, Bama wants your A-game, nothing less. Honestly, I aint worried about any of those guys you mentioned.
2. You will need him, and appreciate the fact you know that you will be punting a lot.
3. RB depth? Our second guy Lacy is as good as your first guy, besides wait till that O-line of ours gives them some holes to run on that Great D-line of yours. Mark it, Trent will have 100 yards on you all. Quote me too.
4. 2 QB system will be your downfall, you willl have no rythm playing a top tier D with that. Lee will throw a TD, Pick Six.
5. Randle is good, but Dre is good also, we will see in a couple of weeks if Randle likes picking grass out of his helmet.
6.Your D-line is good, not gonna make us cry though. Dont underestimate Bam's O-line, they will give it to you all night. Oh yeah we have depth too.
7. 2-2 record between these two, I will take Saban, and so would you, thats why you guys still cry about him not being there.
8. Night games agains Bama or everybody? Lets get this fact straight..... How about this, LSU's overall record against Bama (24-45-5) C'mon Man! Do yall have super night stealth powers to change the game, because it is at night?
9. We aint Auburn.
10. Only one threat we have? Again, you keep telling yourself that. Watch numbers 4, 15, 17, and 42, you might learn something.

* You forgot to mention LB's. Maybe you did it on purpose? Who knows, more corn Dog Logic, I guess. Good Luck with that very thought enriched/ flawed post.

If some of you guys would stop for a second, read what was posted, you'd have a meal much like Thanksgiving.

As example...and, I'll just post one thought.

Our RB depth falls on one Eddie Lacy to start...the same Eddie Lacy LSU said they didn't want, then wanted after he committed to Bama. Oh, the excuse was "he's got a behavioral issue." Well, that fell flat on its face.

Now, it's "he's not that talented."

This all falls back on the same things you saw posted in 2007...dreams.

OK, here's one to your "night game theory." (It doesn't mean chit, by the way)

In Saban's 52 games at Bama, we've only lost one, ONE, game where we've had a RB go for 100+ yards. Florida, South Carolina, Auburn...all have better rushing defenses than LSU.

Giving up an average of 137 yards a game pretty well tells me we'll get 200.

A banged up Florida team gets 113...a healthy Florida team gets 15 on the ground vs Bama.

We will, because we can, run the ball.

A healthy UT running game puts up 213 yards on the ground vs Florida.

A healthy LSU team—versus a hurt Florida team—puts a 237 number up.

Right now...my gut says LSU isn't the same team some portray it to be.

my real question is why would u go onto an opposing teams message board just to tell everybody how great ur team is, how bad the other team is, and how and why your team is going to beat the other team? and do it so blatantly? u cannot truly expect Bama fans to be cool with u when u present such an in your face opinion. just irritates the hell outta me.

:word:

While I appreciate his confidence in his team why go blast it on the opposing team's board. Oh I know, to just start something and get supposed bulletin board material. Which I've never understood because its not like the players/ coaches care what some schmuck behind a keyboard has to say.

I personally think Bama wins. LSU hasn't been as impressive as the media has painted them to be.

5. I will put our secondary up against any WR in the nation, not too worried about Randle

6. I will give you the advantage at D line, I do think yours is a bit better

7. Can't really respond to this one without laughing. If Les needs fake punts to beat us, he is in trouble

You should be scared of Randle. Last season he had 3 catches for 125 yards and a touchdown. He will torch the defense again.

Is this great lsu d-line the same one that tennersee and kentucky gashed at several points during their games against your bengal fried snicker bars?

At one point tennersee ran the ball at least 5 times in a row and poked it right in. Do you really think they will stop trent?

Lsu will not shut down alabamas offense. This game comes down to whether or not alabama can cover the lsu receivers

Gashed is pretty extreme. Kentucky ran for 89 yards. Tennessee ran for 111. Neither of these is considered "gashing". Tennessee had 1 good rushing drive. 1

.

Maze won't have a return because Wing is so good. Teams don't even get the chance to return one.
Lacy wouldn't start at LSU. He would hardly see the field.
The 2 qb system is being used to increase LSU's chances to win. Teams have to gameplan for both, and Kragthorpe/Studwara are developing new ways to use both.
Revenge games? Where is this revenge games stat? Miles is in sabans head.
