🏈 10 Reasons LSU will defeat Bama

1. Suspended Players are Back - Mathieu, Ware, and Simon will be back. They will be rejuvenated for football. Watching the game against Auburn was tough for them, and they are going to play their best.

2. Brad wing - We have the best punter in the country. This will be a game of field position, and with Wing LSU has the upper hand.

3. RB Depth - While Ware was out, you may have seen Kenny Hilliard dominate. Don't forget about Michael Ford either. Bama has 1 really good back, but LSU has way more depth.

4. 2 Qb System - Most teams struggle with a 2 qb system, but it is an advantage for LSU. Both Jefferson and Lee add something to the game and have to be game planned against. The combo defeated Bama last year and will do it again.

5. Reuben Randle - He simply can't be guarded right now. Dre Kirkpatrick can try, but Randle is doing what he wants against defenders.

6. D-line Depth - The LSU D-line made Clint Moseley cry. The depth is insane. Edwards, Mingo, Brockers, Freak, Logan, Montgomery, Rasco, Adams, Agayahere, and Downs will all see time at d-line.

7. Les Miles - Miles has out-coached Saban in the majority of these matchups, and this year will be no different. Saban is scared of the next fake punt, end around, etc...Miles is in Saban's head.

8. Night Game - LSU is 30-1 in away road night games in the past 10 years. This is an insane stat.

9. Kickoff Coverage - Alabama will be drawing straws to return kickoff's this week if they watched the LSU-Auburn game. LSU lit up Auburn 4 times in a row on kickoff returns.

10. Offensive Threats for Bama - Bama has 1 threat on offense. LSU will shutdown Richardson and can play the weak Bama Wr's 1 on 1. Mccaron will struggle.

If you think this is the same Bama team you played last year you're in for a treat. We're FAR better this year than we were last year. You have to look no further than our defense, but our offense is FAR better, so keep thinking this is the same team as last year and when you look up and we're up by a touchdown or two just remember this is the same team you played last year.

I never said it was the same Bama team. Don't put words in my mouth.

LSU's team is FAR better than last year's team as well.

You're great at name-calling when you're hidden behind your monitor. I am neither dumb nor a fool (as you called ElephantStomp). However, you may be the most obnoxious LSU fan I've ever encountered on a message board . . . and I've encountered many.

You said Mccaron is better than Lee in every category except these 3. All 3 were probably the most important stats when it comes to being a qb. I don't have to call you names. You are making yourself look a certain way.

I will be back to celebrate the LSU victory.

I seriously doubt the victory and your coming back!! I've noticed something about your boy, J.Lee. He often times throws off his back foot and doesn't step into his throws. This hasn't cost him yet but it will come Nov. 5th when he must face the BAMA defense. The boy is living and playing on borrowed time.

I will grant you that Lee (of whom I'm a fan) has a better QB rating (by 7 poinits), has thrown more TD passes (by 3), and has thrown fewer interceptions (by 2). But, when you have Trent Richardson, Eddie Lacy, and Jalston Fowler, you don't have to throw TD passes. I'll give ol' Les credit, though, for finally starting the right guy at QB. Why he was so hung up on Jordan Jefferson I'll never know.

Interesting stats on JJ as a 2010 starter, he completed 56.5% of his passes for 1,411 yards and 7 scores. He also threw 10 interceptions. Only 7 touchdowns to 10 interceptions? That's a great stat, isn't it? That'll get a lot of QBs benched. Just ask Lee.

Look, we welcome rival fans here and we like to discuss the game, even argue a bit. We ask, however, that the rival fan not lose sight of the fact he is a guest in our house. Your fellow LSU fan, parrotdr, gives his POV without getting out of line. He would be a good example to follow.

check the 8:45 mark. It worked pretty good on that throw.

Showing footage from last yrs game versus an inexperienced group doesn't mean squat. This yrs secondary has come light yrs from the group when they stepped on the field last fall. The point was made from observing him this season. If you like, I can pull up his 6 or 7 pick 6s that he threw in 09 but then you would claim that he has matured and he has. I coached quarterbacks for 13 yrs and I played the position as well in both high school and college. It is a bad habit that will bite him in the ass against an experienced secondary.

At least, this is something you won't see Bama doing! Remember this from 2yrs ago? lol

Btw, you want to talk about how you guys went after Auburn on kick returns... We play like that every game. Just ask our previous victims about that. You guys should know. After all, you benefited from it when you faced a Florida team down to their 3rd string QB.

A friend of mine who lives in T-town and used to be our sports editor in Morgan City asked me about the hype and what the LSU folks down here were saying. I linked this thread. He took the 10 reasons in the first post and answered them. Thought I'd post 'em. His answers are highlighted.

10 Reasons LSU will defeat Bama
1. Suspended Players are Back - Mathieu, Ware, and Simon will be back. They will be rejuvenated for football. Watching the game against Auburn was tough for them, and they are going to play their best.

Good. We wouldn't want them making excuses

2. Brad wing - We have the best punter in the country. This will be a game of field position, and with Wing LSU has the upper hand.

They'll need him, Bama leads the country in three-and-outs. Hope he kicks it straight to Marquis Maze

3. RB Depth - While Ware was out, you may have seen Kenny Hilliard dominate. Don't forget about Michael Ford either. Bama has 1 really good back, but LSU has way more depth.

One of them might get the nod ahead of Blake Sims but not Trent Richardson, Eddie Lacy or Jalston Fowler

4. 2 Qb System - Most teams struggle with a 2 qb system, but it is an advantage for LSU. Both Jefferson and Lee add something to the game and have to be game planned against. The combo defeated Bama last year and will do it again.

They may need three after they deal with the Bama pass rush all day

5. Reuben Randle - He simply can't be guarded right now. Dre Kirkpatrick can try, but Randle is doing what he wants against defenders.

I'll take that bet

6. D-line Depth - The LSU D-line made Clint Moseley cry. The depth is insane. Edwards, Mingo, Brockers, Freak, Logan, Montgomery, Rasco, Adams, Agayahere, and Downs will all see time at d-line.

LSU's line is good. But so is Alabama's O-line

7. Les Miles - Miles has out-coached Saban in the majority of these matchups, and this year will be no different. Saban is scared of the next fake punt, end around, etc...Miles is in Saban's head.

Someone needs to tell him that hallucinagenics can be dangerous

8. Night Game - LSU is 30-1 in away road night games in the past 10 years. This is an insane stat.

Anybody who worries about what time of day their team plays well has some serious security issues. This is the blanket LSU fans hold while they suck their thumbs.

9. Kickoff Coverage - Alabama will be drawing straws to return kickoff's this week if they watched the LSU-Auburn game. LSU lit up Auburn 4 times in a row on kickoff returns.

Just two words Sunseri and DePriest

10. Offensive Threats for Bama - Bama has 1 threat on offense. LSU will shutdown Richardson and can play the weak Bama Wr's 1 on 1. Mccaron will struggle.

Well gee, that's simple. Funny that eight other teams didn't think of it first. First, shutting down Richardson isn't easy. And please, go ahead and think the WRs are weak.
