Since it's not Monday yet, technically still off week.
After looking at future additions that appear to be redshirting, I wanted to get some thoughts on players likely to leave early for the draft? Although he has taken a good bit of criticism this season compared to his first 2, I think CamRob will certainly be gone. The only other I think that is likely to go early would be Marlon. I agree with most of the comments on the board I've read that say he is excellent in run support but needs to improve a good bit if he plans to cover NFL WRs catching passes from QBs that make NFL throws. Still, Saban always gives his 'blessing' when a player is getting (early?!) 1st Rd projections as MH seems to be.
Other JRs who have NFL talent (IMO) but would shock me if they left early:
Ardarius Stewart-should have big SR season even though Ridley is going to still be on field. If (hopefully WHEN) Hurts takes the next step with his passing both 13 and 3 should have monster season.
Da'Shaun Hand-should be 'the man' up front next season. Opportunity to play his way into possible 1rd pick
S. Hamilton/R. Evans-see Reuben Foster. Hamilton is playing full time but should be NEXT at LB his Sr. season. Evans needs to develop into every down player.
Bozeman-i think he will play in the League and could work his way up to 2 (more likely 3/4) rd with a good Sr season.
There are other juniors that contribute but listing them all seemed to be a bit much. I'm sure many will think listing the ones above are already a stretch.
Of course family/financial situations sometimes come into play but I haven't heard anything like that and we don't seem to have to worry about academics being a factor anymore with Saban running the ship. I also realize we have 4 more games on schedule and hopefully 3 more after that. Still, not often in football (Cardale Jones the exception) that a player comes out of nowhere and right into the draft. Jones ultimately decided to return which appeared to be a mistake. I'm sure someone has more/better examples, but I don't think we have to worry about any Antonio McDyess scenarios.
