📝 Zamir White, #1 ranked RB, is announcing today at 11 AM.

TerryP

Successfully wasting your time since...
Staff
Georgia, Clemson, North Carolina, Alabama and Ohio State.

The staff has his attention. There's been some positive things coming from visits and communication with UA. UGA is considered the leader, UNC is in there as much as anyone. I can't see Ohio State with their current RB class though he is one of those kids you make room for on your roster.

I'd love to see him in Crimson, and even with the staff making some great strides I'll be pleasantly surprised.

Nothing surprises me with CNS and his staff, but considering the depth we have at RB, I would be amazed if the kid chose us. It seemed early on during CNS tenure that specialty positions would go in cycles and we would sign a top recruit about every 2 years at those type positions. Look from Trent to Derrick to Najee. Big time #1 at their position RB's. About every 2 years we get those guys. Just seems like after landing Najee that we would have an off year. Only get a 4*, :D

I will be beyond surprised if he picks us. Like TerryP said, Georgia is the leader by far. He had great visits with us, but would not be surprised if our current situation in the backfield spooks him. He can roll into Athens, Clemson, and Chapel Hill and be the headliner. Harrien is very solid and will play while Holyfield can't get out of his own way, so White is having his butt kissed by everyone in Athens, big time. But hey, like some have said, never count out Saint Nick.

been wondering what the college football recruiting landscape would look like today if freshmen still weren't allowed to play and how it would impact the player's decisions.

nothing against this young man's decision. i hope he has a great career at uga and goes on to live out his drams in the nfl if that's his thing.

but i've often wondered how different things would be if freshmen still weren't allowed to play.

2020. There's no telling what UGA will look like in three years.

Agree but what's that got to do with what I said? I guess I don't understand your point Terry but regardless of how they look, that still won't change my mind. I will enjoy very much our defense shutting him (or whoever) down just like they did Fournette

Believe @TerryP was saying 2020 is when Alabama plays UGA next.

Stupid 8 game conference schedule...ridiculous that the AD's, Presidents, and HC's can't pull their heads outta their asses and fix this.

2014 vs. Florida
2015 at Georgia
2016 vs. Kentucky
2017 at Vanderbilt
2018 vs. Missouri
2019 at South Carolina
2020 vs. Georgia
2021 at Florida
2022 vs. Vanderbilt
2023 at Kentucky
2024 vs. South Carolina
2025 at Missouri.

These guys circle around what I was saying...

Well, there is always the SECCG. But maybe that was Terry's point.

It'll be his junior year before we see him against the Tide, if we do, other than a possible appearance in the SECCG. Right now, I don't see UGa making it to ATL under Kirby--hence, the "if we do."

I do wonder if we'll see the same number of games missed by UGA running backs as we saw when Richt was at the helm in Athens.

This Bama insider had some interesting things to say about some of our young guns and some very interesting things to say about Daboll's recruiting prowess and Saban's relationship with Kirby these days.

I'm not familiar with Hagan. Based on his timeline on Twitter, it appears he's a member of a few of the premium sites so we've probably read over some of his thoughts before and just didn't know who they were from.

I'll say this, Hagan tries to build excitement and hype as well as Dave Neal could when announcing the morning kick-off of Vandy vs Mizzou.

I really enjoyed listening to that. Hopefully these guys know what they're talking about. Only thing I did not agree with one ounce was his remarks about Damien Harris. I think Harris may be our most complete back. He was there for us all season, not just in the end.

His remarks on Tony Brown were incomplete. Yes, he's had maturity issues. But, it's not the reason he's not seen the field more often. I get what this Hagan fella is saying about Tony growing up. We've seen that happening. He's using terms like "the light bulb" in terms of him now being able to "get the system."

That's something we haven't seen. We have hoped, but certainly not witnessed.
