šŸ“” YouTube TV and ESPN/ABC are officially on a break... [Update: Deal reached, all is good again]

Sling's user interface made me want to waterboard myself last weekend. I thought ESPN's was bad (and it is too), but damn.
Isn't that the case with every new advancement we see? I was thinking about the old AT&T Internet yesterday. I can't think of what they called their DSL feed. I remember how much I liked the ease of using their service ... until I switched to some other offer thinking there would be a noticeable difference in speed. There really wasn't.

If I remember this right when I first tried using Sling (several years ago) it wouldn't allow me to use daisey-chained monitors on the TV feed. (If it wasn't sling, it was FUBO. I KNOW it was one of them.)

It can help for a lot. I haven't found it to be necessary. There's been a handful of games I've kept track of this season watching TV stations stream from CA.

Frankly, the thing I've enjoyed the most about the new app from ESPN is the SkyView. Granted, the stadium piped in noise is a pain in the ass. But, no announcers other than the stadium PA guy. I think a lot would be surprised how little the announcers add. 90 percent of the time you know what a flag is going to be because of when and where. It's quite easy to follow the game just by the sounds alone.

When this ESPN issue is cleared up, Google/YT needs to entice people to come back to YTTV by including add free YouTube as long as you have a YTTV account. The constant ads on YouTube have gotten out of control in the last year, and seem to be getting worse by the day. I really don't want to buy a premium membership, but they are about making it where you have to. Every video I watch is constantly interrupted with ads. I don't mind them at the beginning of a video, but damn.

Agree. And when they don’t have an ad to fill the space, they just show a calming video that sometimes gets stuck on replay for 10 minutes.
