🏈 Y'all remember when I said I thought UF/UT was..

...going to be closer than expected? Well, this is not an "I told you so" in any shape or form. I just went with my gut on that, as did some other people.

I'm going with my gut again this week. Shoot me some opinion here gang.

I want to take Kentucky +22 but I just can't do it. Here's the thing; after the game with the Vols people are talking Florida "down". I know that most years any sane fan would take Florida to cover by essentially a 3-touchdown margin and not look back. Up until a week ago, that would not have changed. Here's the argument; Florida is vulnerable and UK looks a lot better than last year. Kentucky hangs in and makes it a closer game than expected, due to their improvement and the fact that it's a home game, right?

I just keep shaking my head. I agree that Kentucky is improving. I agree that Florida looks a little beatable right now. The fact that it's a home game for the cats almost has me ready to pull the trigger in UK's favor. But I just can't pull the trigger. Something has me thinking that this is when a team like Florida, with Tebow and Meyer are most deadly. I think that UT game, the way it transpired, and the aftermath, has Meyer and company eating nails right now. I think there's a pride issue here and something that needs to be proven. UK might just be the sacrificial lamb on the alter too.

I know that Florida is not that same Florida team as last year. They lack some explosiveness in the receiving corps. I do not expect them to nut up like they did after the Ole Miss loss last season and just go psychopath from here on out. But I'm not sure I can bet against them either. This is one of those games where I just have the feeling that Florida got their little feelings hurt and their pride damaged and someone is gonna have he** to pay for it.

Not sure how they're going to do it, but I'm taking Florida in a route this weekend. I might be way wrong on this one, but that's my story.

HAHA you got me wondering as well. I picked UF to lose at least 2 games this year before the season even started. Everybody said I was crazy, but it may just happen. I am picking Ole Sis to beat them for sure and us in the SECCG. :)

Did you see Kentucky's performance against Louisville, Chopper?

If the Wildcats can score 50 against the Gator defense, they may have a chance.

Btw, Ole Sis gets cocked by South Carolina on Thursday night.

It's a road game for Florida and they are coming off a game you would have thought they would have been "up" for but were not. What is the expiration on Tebow rally speeches anyway?

My thoughts on this game...closer than many expect. As a matter of fact, BAMA fans should not take their trip to Lexington likely after the Arkansas game. Steve Brown has done a great job with the Wildcat defense. Their scoring defense has improved from 99th at the time of his arrival to 35th last season (2 years). It will be interesting to see if some of Monte Kiffin's schemes will be parlayed by future opponents.

Yep, folks said Kentucky was gonna give Florida a game last season.

I see more of the same happening on Saturday.

Btw, my mind hasn't changed--Rebs leave South Cackalacky with a loss.

Like I said yesterday, Rebs lose tonight and Kentucky will not even make a game of it against the Gators.

Media hype created an abberation with Ole Miss. I see them dropping two, maybe even three more conference games. That Cotton Bowl victory did not impress me the least last season.
