...that comes with a caveat.

I've not seen anything from CBS confirming the date...just two notes in email and a few posts around the 'net mentioning that Sunday.

Stay tuned...

What is it about?

It's an All-Access look at the program from the staff on down to the players. The Tuscaloosa News published a piece touching on its filming back in July.

Armen Keteyian is who has been the front man for CBS and from all accounts is a huge fan of the way Saban runs the program.

I saw an advertising clip on Showtime (CBSs sister station) for this upcoming piece. Cochron running the boys up the stadium seats...looks very good. There is also a Showtime sports documentary premiering November 15 at 10pm. "AGAINST THE TIDE" A historical look at the 1970 Alabama USC game. The Bear and John McKay purposely scheduled the first game of the season as a statement against segregation. This story has been told before but looks beary interesting.

Uhhh yea thats been debunked pretty well as a myth. Check out "3 Days at Foster" for the real story about how Bryant desegregated the football team (hint, he did it well before 1970).

@TerryP

So is this more of a puff piece, neutrality pointing out some negative aspects of a football program in today's day of age...or an all out exposƩ?

It's my impression it is a closer look at Saban (outside of being strictly a football coach) and the "process" involved with our team.

Read over some of the Armen Keteyian threads on the forum. He's the one who was 60 Minutes lead guy on the report.

I suspect in the end we'll look at it as more of a infomercial on Bama...but, we shall see.

Armen hit the 3 big radio shows in B'ham a few weeks back and discussed the piece with all the talking heads. TP is spot on that it is more of a little closer look at Saban and trying to figure out what drives him. Keteyian did some stuff on Belichek as well as Saban in the NFL and has Saban's trust. That was one of the things that Keteyian emphasized in all of his radio interviews. Sounds like it will be a good piece.

It's a look at Saban...features him yelling and singling out Eddie Jackson...part of the Saban M.O.

He likes to yell at players when the cameras are rolling...a "little man" thing... but, an interview with Vinnie makes it O.K. When Vinnie laughs about it happening to him..."being Saban-ed"...

It works...we're winning games and new recruits...so I don't care who he yells at including me and the fans...just do 't stop winning HA

Great timing for recruiting with a bunch of four and five stars in the late stages of recruiting decisions. Great pub for the program.

Alright, I'll bite.

I'd say Saban does a little bit more than just yell at players.

He's the best in his profession, and it's not even close. Will Muschamp yells at players worse than Saban ever thought about. People don't care because he hasn't won 3 out of the last 4 BCS Championships. Saban has, and that's why people don't like us.
