šŸ’¬ Women's and Men's Golf to Host 2016 NCAA Regional

The NCAA announced Thursday that both the Alabama men's and women's golf teams will host an NCAA Regional in May of 2016.

The women will get things started on May 5-7, 2016, at Shoal Creek Country Club in Birmingham. The men will follow on May 16-18 at the Crimson Tide's home course, Ol' Colony Golf Complex, in Tuscaloosa. It marks the first time in school history that either program has hosted an NCAA Regional event.

The Alabama men, led by head coach Jay Seawell, have won the past two NCAA Championships in 2013 and 2014 after the women's team broke through to win the national title in 2012.

The men's program has won four NCAA regional titles, including three straight, and have made 18 NCAA Regional appearances. The women's program has appeared in 16 NCAA regionals, including nine straight under the direction of head coach Mic Potter. The women claimed regional championships in 2011 and 2013.
