I'm not sure there is anything that can deduct "attractive" points from a female more than a nose ring. Watching that gal in the circle for Ole Miss in the SECT, she's got 2, including the bullring. I doubt she in particular cares what a male thinks, but damn. IMO, a nose ring on a female automatically turns a 10 into a 7, a 7 into 4, and in that OM's pitcher's case, a 4 into a gargoyle. An executive order by Trump banning them would be just fine.

Now that I think about it, the whole green, pink, and/or purple hair shit may be worse. But, I’m not sure I’ve ever seen one of that ilk that was ever over a 3 to begin with, so it doesn’t really matter. I’ve seen more than my fair share of really attractive women with nose rings, and it just turns my stomach for some reason.

Is it a fad? If we go back to the 80's and 90's a lot wondered why a man would wear an earring. Now, we really don't see them any more. I can only think of one guy I know who has one. He's getting close to 70...grew up in the heart of Brooklyn.

His wife is still what I'd call "old school." She want to sit out on the porch, not inside. Their windows are open and always carrying music. You can envision the type.

You know who I thought looked absolutely ridiculous with an earring... Harrison Ford.

Depends on the area mostly. In the sector I work you see them all the time, but with white dudes it’s mostly the hood whites you see having them, but they’re still big in the black community, at least here

I have never had are wanting a any kind of piercing, tattoo is the same. My brother kind of talks me out of getting one. He got an eagle on his front arm. All he said was I wish I never got this. That stuff with me.

This will make you happy @Brandon Van de Graaff. My oldest GD has those piercing in her nose, I tell her that I use to help my uncle to do his hogs with nose rings. Now my youngest GD also has those piercing, but she also has tattoos. I tell her the same thing and the tattoos, The one April don't like is the butterfly on her neck in front.

@Brandon Van de Graaff after thinking about this over the night I'm not bothered by the hair or rings. I can't put a number on it, but I know it's high. I'll say eight of ten we see in these "fashion trends" are still trying to find their own identity and use these "props" in an attempt to set themselves apart from the crowd.

Hey, some people are innately boring. They made need a prop or two. My gut tells me it's just someone trying to figure out who they are. Hell, I left the 7-11 a few minutes ago and the cashier has so much fake jewelry on I wonder if Michael's is still in business. He doesn't know who he is unless he's truly just that fake in and out.

A young girl (teens/early 20’s)with the blue, green, pink hair is trying to find their own way/thing. The women (30+) now that’s a different story all together!!

There are better ways to get noticed.
No shit. I just talk to people whether I know them or not. I, literally, can't go into a place and NOT talk to people.

While its early roots are found in Goth, the colored hair thing started hitting "mainstream" about fifteen years ago largely spurned by music stars and celebrities. People weren't establishing an identity, they were adopting someone else's. About the time COVID hit it seemed the trend had gravitated towards the LBGT community.

Looking at this empirically, the Goth movement, the celebrities, the music stars...people "imitating" what they see and none of its grounded in reality. By definition, gender dysphoria isn't stability.

That may be the case on the green hairs but the handful of females I know that sport the nose rings, I think they legitimately think they are cute. Which is fine, but to me, it just really brings down the attractiveness. Sorta like a nice fitting pair of scrubs can sometimes add 2 bonus points to a gal... I guess a nurse who is a 7 in scrubs and a nose ring, just remains a solid 7.

I agree with you if you're looking for long term but trashy crazy can be really fun just use a hotel and a fake name and number
