If my math is correct, we'll have a group of fifth year seniors who entered this season with 49 wins, three National Championships, and a slew of instances where their names have been "writ in Crimson Flame."

Here's the list of those who will be honored Saturday afternoon (assuming I've not missed one.) The fifth year seniors are in bold.

  • Tyler Bass
  • Kenny Bell
  • Deion Belue
  • Cade Foster
  • John Fulton
  • Cody Mandell
  • A.J. McCarron
  • C.J. Mosley Jr.
  • Kevin Norwood
  • Tana Patrick
  • Ty Reed
  • Anthony Steen
  • Ed Stinson
  • Kellen Williams

Out of the Jr.'s on the roster we've got a handful that very well may be seeing their last home game in Bryant-Denny due to finishing their collegiate work. Here's I'm almost positive I'm missing a few because we'll have some that'll graduate in May as well.

  • Harrison Jones
  • Jalston Fowler
  • Arie Kouandjio
  • Chad Lindsey
  • Anthony Orr
  • Austin Shepherd
  • Brian Vogler

And it's likely we'll also be seeing the last of CyKo and Ha-Ha who I expect to enter the draft.

There are some memories here.

I can't help thinking about AJ getting swatted on the ass by Saban during his redshirt frosh year. And yes, that leap of Saban's after the LSU win is a fitting way for that relationship to end.

Tana Patrick. In a way he'll be in the same group as Marvin Constant in my book—both with outstanding plays against LSU.

Geez! Have we ever seen two guys improve over their careers in Tuscaloosa as much as Cody and Cade?

When you look over these names...what are the memories you'll have?

Biggest McCarron memory, probably the "discussion" that he and Jones had vs Notre Dame.
Patrick, you nailed it for me - two HUGE plays vs LSU in 2013.
Norwood - MR DEPENDABLE - has to be upper case...lower case wouldn't do it justice.
Steen - he's been great the last few years, will probably remember him more for his off the field contributions - dude has a pretty big heart.
Foster - he's having a hell of a year. Its fun watching him tackle - he was a LB in high school.
Mandell - great walk-on, he was at Tulane and I'm glad he took a shot at Alabama.

Kevin Norwood - When the game is on the line or a key first down is needed, he is the go-to guy. Plenty of Bama receivers have made more catches, but how many have made more "clutch" catches?

I think in years to come we'll remember this group of seniors a lot like we remember the freshman class of '08. The '08 class brought us back to dominance, this group of seniors kept us there.

If a swat on the butt get us someone like AJ to play his best. I think CNS should do it to all of them.

I like all that have been posted so far. But it looks like Bama will have another building year coming.

Other than AJ, we might miss Mandell as much as any of those guys. I'm always sort of surprised when one of his punts goes into the end zone instead of being downed or bouncing out inside the 20.

I'll always remember Kevin Norwood's catches during the drive against the coonasses. Lots of good memories from this group. I think Birdman put it all in the right perspective.

All of these young men have been outstanding on and off the field! Norwood for all of his clutch catches! Steen for being that solid rock on the O-line. AJ and the ass slap in the beginning and then the hug against LSU. Mandell going from a walk on behind a scholly player to being a potential Ray Guy winner! Moseley for just being the BEAST he is and all of the plays he has made. Cade Foster going from a hyped kid coming in with no confidence to now being confident and almost automatic! Great group of guys that will surely be missed!

AJ. I remember him as a 9 year old in park football, telling me he was going to be the QB at Alabama. I remember him as my childrens' high school QB. I remember throwing with him and it scared the crap out of me, and I love nothing more than a good game of Burnout. I remember the "slap." I remember Starla. I remember "The Drive." I also remember the camera being on him when we won, and he looked like we all felt, as we watched on TV. I remember that our locker room is a much better place with him in it. I remember to never forget what he has done for the University of Alabama. Damn, I feel old.

Got goosebumps reading this! Thank you for sharing :)

Norwood giving the Honey Badger the business.

AJ's ability to be confident, yet extremely level headed. A quality that VERY few humans have or acquire in their lifetime. It almost goes against human instinct. AJ certainly has represented himself, his family and the university very well.
