Small change coming to Alabama Walk of Champions.

Glitter littered the north plaza leading to Bryant-Denny Stadium on another Thursday afternoon in Tuscaloosa. Another day of graduation photoshoots outside the Alabama football stadium left behind evidence.

After January, this stretch of bricks has been subject to a degree of speculation. Built in 2006 as the Walk of Champions, the path leading to the Crimson Tide locker room is paved with national championship plaques. As it stands today, 16 title teams are commemorated every 12 or so feet.

There's one glaring issue.

The Walk of Champions is running out of room.

The 2015 title team took up the last remaining slot in path as it was built. It was the fourth championship team since the plaza's construction.

So, where will 2017 go?

It's going to take some minor reconfiguration with truly nowhere to go from here.

There's a plaque one row of bricks from the stadium steps that tells the story of Bryant-Denny Stadium and the walk.

It, a university spokesman said, will be moved to a nearby wall so the 2017 national championship commemoration can take its place.

Any future titles would require some major reorganization or expansion of the plaza.

The area is the welcoming spot for thousands of fans on game day. They line the center sidewalk with the plaques where the team walks from the buses to the locker room before every home game.

@TerryP the difference being that yours was done by the school and the one I posted was done by SBNation, I think. That guy in the vid I posted is on EDSBS, pretty sure.
He does look like Spencer Hall in a sense but it's not him. Strangely enough, that's AL.com original content that's titled "from a fan..."

So, what we're left with is the Bryant Museum should send a cease and desist letter to AL.com for the conceptual value of "no more room."

Heh.

That guy also sounds quite a bit like Spencer, So I think my brain made that jump. Is it possible they got him to do the video for them? That is one thing they have done right at AL.com, they have put together some good production value videos over the last few years.

Yes. Yes they have. That was one from 2016 as I recall and if I'm not terribly mistaken it was the first year we'd seen AL.com publishing recruits announcement videos. Of course, we've seen it morph into the "SEC Shorts."

A lot of the video improvement seems to boil down to two people; Matt Scalici and Justin King. Matt was doing some of the same things with video (along with Shannon Terry) on different comic book related themes. Justin was hired last year by UofSC based on his work producing for AL.com.

<said with a sardonic grin>
I guess we can say AL.com is "fair and balanced" now. In comes Scalici, out goes Scarbinsky. To make things even again they bring in Goodman.
</sardonicism>

FWIW, I don't think I've ever seen Hall with his beard trimmed that neatly. Close. Could be brothers, I guess.

Wow, Hall has gained some weight since I last watched him in a video. I kinda quit going to EDSBS a few years ago. I used to be pretty active on RBR. I was the one that pointed them to the Shag for the Texas meltdowns. That was back when the Meltdown thread was far better and not just gathered from reddit threads.

Is it not possible to tear up the current walk and simply re-align the current "plaques" and just stack them on top of each other, leaving room for hundreds of more? And just bring up the brick after each title for the one below? Start them down the middle right on top of each other so our boys can walk over the "Walk of Champions", and then go from there. We have the freaking money to re-align it all.

Or, remove a few rows of bricks at the beginning and reduce the number of bricks between championships. The second option is to move BDS a few feet to the South.
