🏈 Will two key injuries on defense be a factor?

I'm worried about our defense. After watching the Auburn game for the fifth time, we seem to have some recent key injuries affecting our play.

On defense, Erik Anders' ankle is obvious. Prior to his big sack\fumble recovery, he seemed to get outrun down the field for a PI and lost containment on a sweep. Evidently, a hurt Anders is better than his backup. Cory Reamer was greatly missed. His biggest contribution is getting to the ball quickly. I hope these guys are healthy.

Is this worth being concerned about?

Even though it has been almost 3/4 of a season ago, the loss of Hightower will be just as great a role in THIS game as any mid-minor injuries to Reamer and Anders.

But, we will nevertheless be going in with 3/4 of our first-of-the-season linebacker corp either out or nicked up. All the while facing the greatest collection of offensive weapons we will see all season.

Everyone is nicked up this time of the year. Florida has already announced that one of their starting linebackers will not play, and there is the issue of Dunlap hanging over their heads. As Bear used to say, its time to cinch up your belt and go.

Worrying about it won't make anything better. I think we are going to be in good shape - we have INCREDIBLE depth! Plus, I think we are going to see some interesting Saban/Stoops defensive wrinkles come out fresh in this game's scheme.

Fear not, my friend, we will prevail!! We will stymie the Fighting Tebows and take it this year!!

Famous saying is 'football is a game of availability as much as it is of ability.'

AJ Jones is the Gator linebacker that is out due to an injury.
