IMO, it’s not the DC position that’s the problem. The head coach still has his paw prints all over the offense, get rid of the OC and call your own plays like he has been doing.

Word has it Harbaugh has his eyes on Joe Moorhead (putting him back with Gattis from their Penn State days.) I've also heard Harbaugh and Michigan have reached an agreement/extension.

I was told back before early signing day that Harbaugh would be allowed to keep his job, restructure his deal with an extension, but he'd have to fire/replace his DC and Gattis. I mentioned the Gattis thing in the Xavier Worthy recruitment thread. I'm thinking at this point, that might not happen or it would have shortly after they canned DC Don Brown. But bringing in another OC type like Terry mentioned makes sense. Gattis is a good recruiter for them, so I can definitely see Harbaugh fighting hard to keep him on staff.
