With College Coaches not HONORING their CONTRACTS, do BAMA FANS NEED TO WORRY that Coach SABAN will NOT HONOR his COMMITMENT to Bama? Coach Saban talks about Trust and Commitment! CNS has said he will retire at BAMA, but will he really Honor his Contract?! He has never stayed anywhere longer than 5 years and different people in the Media say "There's NO WAY CNS will be at BAMA by the end of his Contract!" CNS does NOT even have a Buyout in his Contract...So do we need to be concerned now that CNS has a National Title? I really hope he accepts the challenge of Building his Legacy at Alabama! CNS has PROVEN that he can rebuild a team and win a Title...I really hope BAMA is his home until he retires, and proves everyone Wrong! The only thing CNS hasn't proven is that he will keep BAMA on top and that this Championship is just the first with more to come! Will CNS stay and make Bama a TRUE DYNASTY?! This is a big concern for all of the fans, so please give your input.

I'm hoping that he is at "that age" where he just wants to make his final run at Alabama. Why would he want to move on to another school, at his age, just to build another NC Team. Logic tells me that building on what Alabama has now makes more sense, ie: multiple championships.

I try not to worry over things I have no control over...just enjoy the present and hopefully look forward to more of it in the future. A reasonable person would have to ask...where would he go? He is at a top 5 program and basically runs the show...what more could he want. ?

I am thinking the same thing! Why go anywhere else when he can and will get anything and everything he could ever ask for, When your the President of the United States there's no other office to run for! There's not another place that could offer more than what BAMA can give! NO ONE!

It's out of our control. All we can do is continue to do our part and support the team. He has already brought us one NC and for that I am very grateful. I like to think that CNS is more than just about money. I believe he left LSU (after 5 years and one NC) to try the NFL because he probably always wanted to. I believe he genuinely felt like a duck out of water in the NFL and wanted to come back to college. Bama - even among the unbiased - is without question one of the top 5 programs historically in college football. Of course, it's number one for all of us, but outside of here, you could probably say that USC, ND, Florida, and Michigan are about on equal footing from a big picture perspective with Ohio State, Texas, and Penn State close behind. The next tier would include Tennessee, Oklahoma, Nebraska, and Georgia.

So this begs the question: what would he leave for? One of those? At this point, it would be a lateral move. But you never know. I like to think he likes Tuscaloosa - he goes to my church and seems quite comfortable. He gets incredible recruiting classes, complete autonomy, Top 5 Money, nice weather, a 100,000+ seat stadium, the best tradition, etc., etc. There is only so much we can do to keep a top notch coach. I wouldn't worry about it.

I would like to put this bug in his ear: hey CNS... Bear won 6 at Bama. Most of any college coach. I think you can top that if you keep the pedal to the floor. Why not stick around for awhile and see if you can do it? You will certainly always have my support! :-)

He will leave for only two reasons:

1. He retires.

2. He "retires".

Otherwise, he is about to get a statue in severe need of additional decorations, thats motivation enough.

Aside from that, the process is not near completion. Completed, itll look like the SECCG all year long. The game against Texas was like a combo of the SC and UT game to me tbh, we can definatly improve in pass protection to prevent some of that mess. The process is a measure of how we won or lost, not just about the result.

Atleast thats been my interpretation.

the only way i think he leaves is if he decides to give the NFl another shot. i doubt USC fans thought that pete would be leaving either, he was at a top 5 program.

I think one of the things Saban regrets about the whole going to Miami thing is that he had something special at LSU and could've really built a dynasty there if he had stayed. I think he's got Bama back to that point and won't make the same "mistake" twice. It's true that he's never been anywhere more than 5 years, but if you look at his resume his moves have mostly been an upgrade, all except for the move to Alabama which was triggered by his realization for his love of college ball. He may not stay the entire length of his contract, but I don't see him leaving for another school.

NO SABAN WILL NOT HONOR HIS CONTRACT

He will retire from Bama with many years left on it. He will always get an extension and will always have years and money left on it. He will stay there as long as he wants and I truly hope that he stays until the tug of Lake Burton is too much for him to handle. I do think he retires from Bama, because as stated in a previous post, everything at this point is a lateral move. If he moves it will not be about money, we have enough big dogs to pay him whatever he wants.

I did hear him say that he wasn't a fan of lateral moves. After winning a second NC and coaching in the NFL, what's left? I don't think he goes back to the NFL so I'm guessin' multiple NC's is the goal. I really believe that it comes down to his age. What better place to leave a Legacy than the most dominat program in the history of college football? I say he is here 'til the day he dies. RTR.

Top five reasons Coach Saban would leave.

5) NFL, specifically the Dallas Cowboys but only if Jerry Jones left or gave him complete control

4) Health issues...possible heart ailment (too many Little Debbies)

3) A scandel of some sort forces him to resign....I know...I know a little far fetched. At this point though, he could commit murder and be exonerated in hours.

2) A few year of causing complete exhaustion due to lack of player discipline and just fed up.

1) The president needs him as Minister of Defense and coach feels its his duty.

We can't worry about these things. Theres not another job he wants...there may be another challenge we havn't named but not another coaching job. He likes the teaching new kids too much.

Quick Hijack...my dad gave my son a Saban autographed hat...now he wants it back..true story. he he

He's at Bama until he retires. If for no other reason because Ms.Terry LOVES it at the Capstone and in Tuscaloosa, she has said that she would like to stay at the Capstone until Coach is too old to coach. So, I think he stays until he stops winning.

I have no clue if he retires at Bama or leaves. I hope, of course, that he stays 'til he hangs his straw hat up for good. However, as I've told my LSU friends who are always saying, "He'll leave y'all in 3-5 years", if he leaves us in as good a shape as he left LSU, I'd shake his hand, pat him on the back and say thanks. Whoever our next coach is will find the cupboard fully stocked with good football players.

Saban is about player developement. And if championships come, so be it.

As long as he is given the resources do what he wants -> develop young men into champions at everything they do in class, on the field, in the weight room, in relationships, etc... then CNS will be happy.

AND 'Bama will have no problem keeping him b/c the championships will be flowing, as long as he can do what he wants.
