In his defense, someone thought it best for some reason to have him to drop back and not rush the passer as much in some of those games. Still hard to believe.

I’m surprised Anderson won the Nagurski again. Bama has had a real tough time winning this hardware over the years. This is great. His numbers were off from last year and he still took it home. Beat Georgia on this one!

The best pass rusher in college football dropping back to defend vs the pass. No wonder everyone is pissed off at the thought of the current DC hanging around another year.

I still think he was misused several times this year. Dropping him into coverage was such a misuse of his skills. I truly believe if he been allowed to rush instead of drop, his numbers would have been in the mid to upper 40’s.

I'm actually surprised his draft stock hasn't shrunk this year. Barely cracked the Top 50 on ProFootballFocus and went from grading out at 90 percent last year to barely over 80 percent this year. His coverage grade was awful (granted whatever genius thought he was better suited doing that than rushing the passer half the time is at fault there) but his pass rush grade dropped, too. Actually graded out better against the run than as a pass rusher.

Always believed that record is as safe as any record ever. As good as WA was never saw him getting to that record if for no other reason he would only ply 3 years.
