🏈 Wide receiver competition is wide open at Alabama

Possibly the most talented group we've ever had at Bama. But, that said, it's not something we'll see come to fruition this season.

Explain please? I was thinking the passing game this year may be one of the best we've seen here with the OL we'll have and AJ's experience.

Better than last year, but not as good as it could develop into.

If you look at the Z receiver group you've got Norwood, Jones, Cooper and Black (still don't know the extent of his shoulder injury.) Norwood is our experience there and he didn't even play in every SEC game last year. He only had receptions in five games last year and only three of those were SEC opponents: Ole Miss, MSU, and Vandy. (regular season)

With X we are looking at Bell and White for experience followed by Shinn and Woodson. Bell played in every game with his best being the game against Ole Miss. White didn't play in every game and again average numbers across the board.

Little experience, youth after that.

I'm not discounting their talent. I'm just thinking it's too early to consider it as an impact position.

If you look at it through my eyes you see a distinct possibility a guy like Christion leading the receivers in catches. I'm not criticizing the other guys but I am saying they need to take their game up more than just a level.

Yeah, I know they need to step their game up, but I just see Norwood, Christion, and Bell having the potential at being big time play makers. I mean we got glimpse of what Norwood is capable of in the Championship game. I've also heard that AJ and Bell are really in sync with each other on routes, timing and such.
