šŸˆ Why this Bama coach in a blue shirt?

So a specific position group, or groups, will see him more easily.
Oh, like we do on our Aircraft Carriers, which makes sense. And it should serve the sideline coaches well. Well, I've already commented about the black shirts, alluding to when will they go to Orange and Blue (which I apologized for such an insane remark, looks like I'll apologize again)? Looks like they're half-way there. I wonder which positions coach will get the Orange shirt? ;)
(By the way, as long as Bama wins, I can gladly accept the black shirt.)
ROLL TIDE!

So, around HS football for a long time. Back in the day, a coach calling the defense had an orange traffic cone on his head. Crowd started chanting, ā€œcone head defenseā€. Guess this ended the excuse for not being able to see the signal from sideline….

Headset communication has eliminated the need for signs like we saw a few years ago. Different colored shirts have been common. It makes it easier to recognize, "this is our formation." Or, if they were signaling in plays, "where's my coordinator?"

I think it was Ellis Johnson who always wore black.

Visibility. When players look to the sideline for calls (new rules only allow one player on offense or defense to have audio communication), it helps to find him. To help prevent the opposing team from stealing signals, coaches could have multiple colors and someone on the sideline gives a signal for which color is the real play call for that play.
