In the store I need to measure? I don't disagree ...

Several years ago when I was building a portion of my privacy fence I ordered quite a few fence slats (you know the size, 5/8-in x 5-1/2-in x 6'; over 200.) I had them delivered; same day. Hell, I saw them pulling the pieces that day from stacks they had outside (assumed they were mine based on the number, truck, etc.)

Long story short...no, story short. Every one of them had 6" cut off the bottom.

I was pissed but they got lucky; afternoon storms that lasted through the night delayed putting up the pickets (frame was done.)

Think about that phone call. "Dude, every one of these are a half of a foot, short." Lowe's gave their second refund on the same pickets that day...
