🏈 Why Lane Kiffin should be the next Miami Hurricanes Football Coach

As I said regarding the Kirby to Miami speculation, this isn't a good situation to walk into. Yes he is a decent recruiter, but the credit being given to him for UT in 2009 is an exaggeration. Eric Berry and his friends on that really good defense were actually Phat Phil recruits. And USC is one of those spots where almost anyone can recruit because of the location and tradition.

Bad stadium situation, mediocre facilities, a recruiting area which is come one come all. If Lane wants to be a HC again,he can do better than the deteriorating situation with the Canes.

You right if he want to be a HC again the Miami job isn't going to be it. For any Bama coach. Wiess(sp) is free of ND now!

It's a horrible stadium situation and facilities are mediocre at best. People accuse Alabama of living in the past, but Miami is worse. Miami was good when they played in the Orange Bowl stadium and their students could get to the game. You won't be able to recruit based on what recruits see at their games today. Beyond the staff, the facilities, the school and the offensive/defensive scheme, players look at the game atmosphere.

If all the extenuating circumstances are true and he didn't get any other offers I could see Kiffin taking the Miami job.

I don't see Kirby taking the Miami job barring them throwing stupid money around which I don't believe they have stupid money to throw around.

Miami is a sinkhole with large turds at the bottom IMO

They don't. Word has it they are looking at paying—at the maximum—3 million per. They were paying Golden 2.5.

However, it's not the money issue that comes into play here. Mary Beth is the key and she has had her eyes focused on another coaching job within the SEC.

I am curious as to why you want him to go? He has done a good job IMO. Coach Saban has kept his mouth in check and he has had a lot of wins.

I think he's the lesser of the 3 OC's we've had in the era. Offense is consistently sloppy with negative plays, penalties, late play clocks, confusion, etc. The other 2 won a title and Kiffin will likely leave here without one.

I don't see anything special about this offense... Yet he has special talent. I don't think he's done a bad job but I'm looking forward to whoever takes over next.

Lastly, he and/or Saban made the call to start Cooper Bateman out of left field. Still have no fucking clue what that was all about... But it could have huge impact on this season's conclusion.
