🏈 Why is it that Bama fans can't live in the past, But those other fans can?

I have multi- folks tell me not to forget 2010 and 2013. When I say something about 2009, 2011,2012,2015. You live in the past! I say no if I bring up 1992, 1978,1979 I would be living in the past.

Barners are a insecure bunch,,,the "red headed step-child " syndrome fits them to a T. Lets face it, every fan base wants to be us, Problem is they can't be, Bama has a history that only two or three other schools have when it comes to football. Bama is in a stratosphere that other programs can only dream about, and I thought that we would never see anything like this again after the Bear died. What we are witnessing may never be seen again, especially in my life, but maybe not even in you younger guys lives. I realize I'm getting old but I feel so fortunate to have been able to live thru two eras of Bama dominance on the football field! Here's to #17!

Anything can happen in college football on any given Saturday. I suspect that "fans" bring up those years, games in particular because those are the very few bragging rights they have. Bama has a rich tradition, so yes, we have a past to be proud of in football.

I was born in '61. I have been fortunate enough to see 3 championship winning coaches at Bama. I believe that the right hire after Coach Saban retires will probably win 2 or 3 more. Screw other fans, I'll remember and talk about Bama's glory DECADES in the rocking chair at the old folks home.

You just a baby fan! Unless it my wife when I do go to the old folk home, when Bama is playing on TV. My neighbors will be p*ss because I'm very LOUD about this team. It didn't matter where we live ours neighbors knew when Bama was playing!

whenever i hear someone talk about BAMA fans living in the past, i just tell them to worry about their own team and i'll worry about mine.

All teams have to live in the past. It is just too bad that their's ain't as good as ours. They can take gummy bears, chill pills, Kleenex, or classes to cope with losing like non Trump voters are doing.

When you're Awburn and you win national championships about as often as Halley's Comet comes around, the past is all you have, so you argue for others not to live in it.
