🏈 Why does Alabama tight end Colin Peek talk like that?

Apparently, he just doesn't have a Alabama accent at all, mostly becuase he is not from there. And he has picked up different phrases and pronunciations (sp?) from different places he has lived. Just a odd mix.

I grew up in Olrando area, went to Alabama and lived in Birmingham and surrounding areas for quite a few years. Since I moved back to Florida, people ask me where I'm from, becuase I have a Florida accent (which is none) and then I throw in some slang or draw for certain words that are Alabama-Southish. Also depends on who I am talking to and what time of night it is...

I don't get it either...I saw Ian's article on al.com and was thinking, what the heck is he talking about. Although I will admit that I've only heard him speak one time in a recent interview...I don't get it.

I don't see anything odd about the way Colin Peek talks.

But I do find Ian Rappaport's speech unconventional, and not in a good way. He can't be from Alabama. He should not address Coach Saban as "Nick" nor Coach Grant as "Anthony."

I cringed when I heard Rappaport say "Hey, Anthony." Who does he think he is?

I don't see any special on his accent as well. And believe me, as spanish native, I always notice something when one accent isn't familiar for me...

But I agree with Chris, maybe he's got kinda of Tebow...
