backup choice was shaun Alexander but im not so sure that our current running backs arnt just as good as he was if not better.

Concur.

Pass threat of Jones on the outside and Newsome up the middle would magify Maze in the slot. I don't think that can be covered, especially with a QB who is so good at going through his reads. Our passing attack would increase significantly, which would pay huge benefits with the running game. That Offense with the Defense, which is already being compared to the '92 defense, would be a fovorite to win the NC.
