I'm thinking UT. With the combination of Kiffin seeming to be over his head...the rivalry...and the fact that we've kind of just thumped them out of the way the last two years of Saban's tenure, I don't see much changing here.

Core I too think that we will have our best game against UT, but I think it is more of the fact that Saban appears to have their number. Now I'm not sure if it is the fact that Saban seemed to own Phil and a Chavis defense, or what, but he has ruled the roost on them.

I'm kind of hoping that a Chavis defense is easy to pick apart.......that will mean good things when we go against the corndogs...

I'll go out on a limb here and say Florida in Atlanta:a:

completely agree. And im hoping this more than anything. I spent 4 yrs in germany with a cousin of David Palmer when i was in the army and ive dealt with alot of misery since the SECCG. Specially since he graduated from Miami so everytime he talked smack to me i showed him the video of Teague stripping Lamar Thomas...

Oh and btw hi everyone...1st time poster but have followed this site for the past 2 recruiting seasons. Keep up the good work:a:

Historical Perspective: When was the last time that our two biggest rivals (Auburn and Tennessee) were the choices for "who we would have our best game against", and there were really solid reasons to argur for both?

The circle of domination continues to expand.

To add a little side note to this thread...

If you recall, there were two QB's offered by UT that Kiffin ended up pulling their offers - so UT didn't sign a QB.

Now, B.J. Coleman has announced he's leaving the team.

University of Tennessee sophomore quarterback B.J. Coleman has informed the Times Free Press that he is leaving the program.
Frustrated by what he believes is a lack of opportunity to win the starting job, Coleman is not sure what his future plans will include.
“It’s the best move for me,” Coleman said. “What changed my mind is, after this spring, I don’t see myself getting a fair shake. Based on conversations with coaches and things that happened this spring, I feel the staff has goals that do not include me.
“I didn’t just quit. I didn’t just walk out. But I’m going to be taking a huge risk of losing another year of eligibility if I stay. I just want to play ball.”

That leaves Crompton and Stephens...the latter of the two having broken his wrist this spring.

I voted for Ole Miss, not because I think we will blow the Rebs away, but because we didn't turn in our best effort against them last year, a lot may be at stake when we play, and I think CNS will have our guys primed and ready for this one. I fully expect us to play quite well against the viles and barners too.

The thing I keep coming back to with Ole Miss is that was the last game we saw the team show that "put it in neutral" attitude in the second half.

I wouldn't be surprised if this game gets ugly for Ole Miss...really, wouldn't be shocked, at all.

3-point wins vs. Ole Miss in the last few years. Nah, I look for the same thing all over again in Oxford. This year many are giving Ole Miss the benefit of the doubt and already picking them in this game. It will be a tough one, and I'll take any kind of win.

The fact that Coleman is leaving UT is yet another sign that Kiffin and Co. are phoning in the 2009 season. I think EVERYBODY is going to kill them.

Can't say I wont enjoy it, either. :nana:

The other night when we were playing Hold 'em in the Casino Sports South was broadcasting a replay of the UT Orange and White game.

I watched it, casually, before I left the game and I could pretty much swear I saw maybe - MAYBE - eight total plays on offense.

Add to that it was a limited play option on their defense - couldn't blitz, etc., on the offense.

They put up good numbers in the O&W game but their "hard core" fans took it for what it was worth: not a lot.

It reminded me of the numbers Auburn put up last spring when they were giving their QB carte blanch to run the offense. We saw how that ended up.

Last year UT was putting up good numbers during spring and I said, as loudly as I could here, don't pay attention to them. They've got issues.

I'd bet we'll see an offensive package from UT that people will compare to Shula's.

Beating Auburn last season was pure joy. The way we dominated was a thing of beauty. Beating them by 36 and holding them scoreless was heaven, but to be honest it wasn't even our best game last year. Neither was the UT game. We struggled like heck in that first half.

It's funny, but to get our best game last year I'd probably have to piece together a couple of halves (maybe even a quarter here and a quarter there).

It would be too tough for me to say who I'd rather have the best game against. It would probably be best to say Florida because that would mean we'd have a great chance to beat them in SECCG. My gut always says Auburn, but I don't know that we need our best to beat them. Same goes for UT.
