i have thoroughly enjoyed watching Blake Sims this season.
i must admit that i was a bit nervous at not knowing the quarterback situation coming out of spring practice (and especially after A-Day). it was like trying to pick the lesser of two evils (bad analogy, but you get what i'm trying to say).
but i must also admit that i am proud to have Sims as our quarterback. he has proven everyone wrong with regards to his talents. and especially those (i'm looking at you, David Pollack) who said Jacob Coker would come in and be the starter as it would be no contest between him and everyone else. i'm not knocking Coker, but Sims at least had the experience of being in the program the past 4 years, even if we did get a new Offensive Coordinator this season.
it has been a pleasure seeing Sims out there using his legs to get himself out of trouble and making smart decisions of knowing when to throw it away if the play's not there. sure he doesn't have as accurate an arm on deep passes as AJ did, but his speed allows him to make something out of what seems like nothing. and that is a welcomed skill.
