No matter who the choice is, it’s going to be a bumpy ride following CNS, much like CRP wh n he followed Coach Bryant. As of right now, I can’t put a name on anyone I would want to come in tonight. Let me think on this one.

I agree ....it certainly can be a bumpy ride....Perkins was a potentially outstanding HC....and such a dick....he appeared to want to tear things down and rebuild in his image...
Interesting to think what a Bama would have looked like under a 10 year term of Perk... offensive minded....great recruiter ( even if he didnt like recruiting ).... cold in dealing with people.... the Pat Dye- Perk thing was ugly...very ego driven...
.....someone can come in behind NS in 5-10 years and be successful....NS successful...probably not...but the right person can be ( just dont do a stupid Dubose thing....and get a totally unqualified person)....
..Even Les Miles was successful with NS recruits....

I really wasn't a fan of Dabo's Ra-ra, Magoo goofy persona. Didn't think it would fit well with our culture. But I'm warming up to the idea. And if the tellings of your little birdie are indeed true, @TerryP ... Then it appears that Saban has full confidence in Dabo taking over. He has the resumé requirements now, too. So if CNS is good with it, I guess I am, as well.

But, I wonder if what he has built at Clempsum may be too substantial for him to part ways with once Mama DOES call?
