šŸˆ While my focus is still on football, I have been taking a peek over at Rhoads House...

...and I'm liking what I'm seeing.

Highlight of the week? Try this one on for size.

In a 19-0 win, four inning shutout over TN St., we had a player go 4-4 with two grand slams.

Welcome aboard freshman Haylie McCleney.

Just as a small side note...Leslie Jury threw a no hitter in the game as well.

Minor stuff, right?

In a slow start to game two, the Tide scored eight runs on six hits in the first inning on the way to winning 11-3.

I cant wait for softball to get into full swing. Besides making fun of OU fans for losing to ND last week i been giving them hell everyday since the girls shut them up in softball

I've got a OU fan that works with me. She's a great lady, follows OU sports avidly all the way down to sports no one discusses.

After the series, I made a remark to her one night when it was raining; "you need to take a break?"

Now, when it's raining, all I have to do is look at her and I'll get a "shut the hell up Terry!"

hahahahah Well i live in OKC now and i actually delivered some furniture to Patty Gasso (OU womens softball coach) about 2 weeks ago. It took everything in me not to break dress code policy and wear my Bama hat into her house. Ill definitely be at the WCWS again this year. Cant wait. I actually got deleted off facebook by 4 of my friends here in OKC after they lost to ND. They didnt even give me time to make fun of them :victorious:

I'll be shocked if OU doesn't make it back to the WCWS.

It's also going to be interesting to see what kind of impact Mizzou has in its first year playing in the SEC. In the Big12, they've been consistently winning and averaging in the high 40's-low 50's (win totals) for the past four/five years. In other words, their upperclassmen know how to win and are used to doing so.

A&M hasn't been a pushover as well.

Ya its definitely gonna be an interesting season. Im more interested to see how the new recruits we got come in and make their presence known

I realize it was against TN St., but two slammers from Haylie is definitely making her presence known. I don't see how Murph can keep her out of the outfield.

Andrea Hawkins has some success about a week and a half ago with two RBI's in a game. Lafaele has been seeing some action as well.

Personally, I'm more interested in seeing how the sophomores progress. One of the reasons I was so glad to see VanBrackle back was the development of Leslie Jury. She's been pitching pretty well so far. Danae Hays is one to keep an eye on as well.

The one position I'm most interested in is catcher. Frankly, I consider it as important as the person on the mound. Which brings another SO in the picture with Bell. Patterson can play the infield as well so it'll be interesting to see how it develops.
