I ended up in section N row 35. Great seats. Penn State fans were good people. Out of probably 200 that I encountered and talked with, only one was an ***hole. Of course, he could barely stand up.

Sec L, uppers, row 5. Sat one row up from "that guy". You know him... yells and complains after every single play. Says the same crap over and over, and was without a doubt, the most annoying dude in the crowd out of 101,000 people. I was ready to kill him by the end of the game.

While tailgating with some workmates, one of the doctors I work with brought a Penn St. friend (alum) up to the tent. He played for JoePa on his first 3 teams at PSU. 66-68. Was really a cool guy to talk to.

It was hot as hell yesterday.

I had a few PSU fans nearby and they were ALL great sports and were great ambassadors for their state and school.

I didn't see much "whiteout" in the stadium based on the television shots.

Factor I'm horrible with numbers when it comes to guessing how many were in there seats, but if you Click on the seating chart, I can tell you where they were sitting.

They were in sections NN. U-4 RR,QQ. Also were in NN-10 through NN-14. For the distance they traveled, they represented well.

Met some very nice PSU fans. One group had been in town since Thursday taking in the sights and having a good time. One PSU guy told me he heard there were 30,000 of them in town. It didnt seem like that many were inside the stadium. Unless they were camouflaged in Crimson. lol

And yes, it was hot. I still have a headache and have been drinking water non stop.

There was one PSU fan in the row ahead of me, and I'm not sure there was another in either adjoining section. They were largely relegated tot their authorized seating areas.

We were in section SS-6. Good view from the South Upper. The Penn State fans i met were pretty cool for the most part. I actually witnessed 2 of them fighting each other after we went up 14-0. I told one of their buddies that they didn't want to spend the night or rest of their weekend in the Tuscaloosa jail. They quickly separated and the cops showed their faces about 30 minutes later. One of the fans wanted to be an A@@ about CNS getting a statue. He wanted to say it was lame and that we didn't give Stallings one until years later. I told him there was a good reason for it. I told him that the North Upper and the Walk of Champions all came about at the same time with the statues. He quickly shut up and continued to watch the mauling of his team.

I was in SS-7. Overall I like the new section but the stairs leading up from the concourse to the seats are only wide enough for 1 person.

Aaahhh, I was just getting some fresh air. I was down in my usual seats behind Alabama bench (G, row 6), and I'm telling you there was ZERO air flow down there. I don't know if it has something to do with the stadium being enclosed now or not. Like rammerjammer said it was hot!

Lance, I'm like a baby. I just need a ticket to get in, but I won't really be using that seat....LOL. When I did sit (by 4th quarter I was feeling better) it was next to an NBA player that's a big Alabama fan, and I also got to speak to Joe Scarborough. It was a neat experience, and of course the game just made it perfect. :a:
