Please post about some of the past Bama football Alumni here. links, articles whatever.

I'll star with one of my favorite kickers for Bama, Peter Kim. He's like a bazillionaire restaurateur in Hawaii. He said he owes it to life lessons he learned from Coach Bryant. I remember hearing where, ( when everyone else was so intimidated by the Bear) Kim walked straight into Bears office and said he wanted to Kick for Alabama. Bear figured if the kid had that much gumption, he'd give him a try. They went down to the practice field and Coach watched Kim kick. Then turned around and told him, "You're on the team."

Randy Scott played for Coach Bryant from 1978,79,80, was drafted by Green Bay and played 1981-86, Minn 87. Try to find something about him after the NFL, but couldn't, but the reason I pick him was his uncle. Picture this 1983/84, I'm in a hurry, it raining, I pass a state trooper and you guess it he stop me. He told me to come back to his car because at the time it was raining. As I get into the car he sees that I'm wearing my Alabama hat. He tells me, my nephew played for The Bear as he tells me. I tell him OH! I remember him, which I really did. I think this got me out of the ticket. Because he had me dead to right, I was speeding and the road were super wet.

I had no idea. I almost feel bad for being so critical of the Signature. It is decent food, but strictly designed to grab tourists, cram them in, and shuffle them out. There are much better options in quality and price but he does do good business.

However, the Yummy stores are awful.

That aside. Good for him. Great American story.

Well damn!

Well uhh a former Bama player from the 60s and/or 70s was in Ireland in September .. Wish I hadn't been too starstruck/excited to ask his name or remember how he introduced himself, but I did get to see his bowl ring ..

Well, not a Bama star but my brother is now living in Fairfax, VA, he is an electrical engineer and does contract work for the feds. He played for three years at Bama, as a walk-on. Two years for Bryant and one for shithead Perkins. He would have played 3 for Bryant but Bryant told him he needed to get in better football shape, he had just spent 6 years in the AF prior to walking on. Below is one of the articles from back then...

I looked this guy up and holy moly, he has some "stuff" going on...engaged to Cheryl Crow at one time, arrested for making contact with his ex-wife. ( Amicable) split form his business partner @ Zoe's...

Wow, he's got some Forrest Gump stuff there. I remember him more as a DB.

Keven Jackson is coaching high school ball at Dothan High School. From what I here he is a true mentor to these kids. We know each other well enough to speak when we see each other out in public, and have several mutual friends.
