🏈 When was the last time Bama defensive player wasn't picked first-team preseason All-SEC at Media Days?

Not that it matters one bit, but that's the kind of thing that happens when they give every fanboy media person that shows up a press pass and a voting code. Waters it all down. There were 2 people that picked Vandy to win the conference for instance.
On that note ...

These are the same guys who ended up voting Alabama as #3 in the media poll. Just "Bama fanboys" don't have that many votes. While they didn't get a defensive player on this 1st team; it's not a lack of respect for the team.

The team getting the least amount of “respect” or attention or however you want to word it seems to be LSU. At least based on my limited observations thus far of the media.
I've watched those reactions. I think part of it was last years defense, lingering doubt about their OL from last year...but more specifically I don't think a lot of people trust in Nussmeier. (And then there's Kelly but that's a different conversation.)

I would have said A&M for "least amount of respect." That running back room!! Geez. Cubelic said it was his impression the Aggies had seven legit conference starters on the roster. (Any wonder why he transferred to Tuscaloosa?)

I'll step out on a limb here. A&M has two 1000 yard rushers this season. (Coincidently, 1st team SEC RB isn't healthy yet.)
