You should at least be #4 maybe even #3. You have two very impressive wins for the year and won them convincingly. No one else can make that arguement at this time of the year.
um, NO. Any good coach doesn't see most of the games. They are too busy working on THEIR TEAM and THEIR TEAM'S CURRENT COMPETITOR.
NEITHER the AP or Coaches poll mean that much until later still in the season. But, I still hope we move up to #3 or #4 (which I think we will because of the quality of our wins compared to LSU's wins) ROLL TIDE!
Herbstreit just said you guys may wind up at #2, CBSSportsline.com has you all as their BCS title game pick against OU. I think #2 right now is probably a stretch due to the teams in front of you that didn't lose. OU, TX, LSU and then you guys is my thought. I can see the pollsters giving LSU props because of a "tough fought game, the kind that championship teams find a way to win."
Agreed. All I care about is that Saban gets them ready to beat Kentucky. You can only win them one at a time and the rest will take care of itself. I'm sure UGA was overrated anyway.
USC lost to an UNRANKED team! As in, not in the top 25. How they stay in the top 10 will be beyond me. Total crap if they are. Clemson was 9 & Bama was 24. Bama beating them knocked them completely out of the top 25. USC better not be in the top 10.
Ohh, sorry..Just saw the post above. Honestly, at this point I do not really care because I am happy with the way we played and if we keep it up then it will be obvius where we belong after games against the likes of LSU and Allbarn.
It's pretty obvious what we've done to this point. Whether we continue to play this well id a different issue.
The ONLY team that has a case to be ranked ahead of us is Oklahoma. And that's not a very good case IMO. We beat the crap out of two different top 10 teams. Nobody else has done that.
My guess is that we get a lot of support for a high ranking this week based on our convincing whipping of the #3 team in the country. We should also get a fair share of #1 votes.
