🏀 When the ACC was expanding, why didn't they invite UCONN?

Do you think those on Tobacco Road didn't want the two basketball programs?

If you recall, when the conference first expanded to 14 with 'Cuse and Pitt in 2011 the football program at UCONN was doing pretty well as well. The Huskies were in a BCS bowl (Fiesta) in 2011 as well.

Or, do you think it was more UCONN's decision?

What is UCONN in now, the AAC? Don't think they were the ones to turn it down. I'm not big on conference realignment, but it sure would be nice to have them in the ACC along with Syracuse and Louisville to see those games. Really going to miss the Cuse-UCONN match-ups.

Yes, they are in the AAC (god I hate that name).
