I think we better watch out for LSU. They're starting to gel like us and their run game will be better than anyone we've faced, even Arkansas. Their talent level is near ours which can be scary if they're on. Their quarterback has a cannon for an arm. I think a lot of y'all are turning a blind eye to their ability and what they accomplished last night. They did what we couldn't do, and actually did us a favor since we need Ole Miss to lose two. They should have killed Ole Miss if it wasn't for Red Zone errors.

A cannon for an arm means nothing when the QB is throwing for a completion rate of 50%. For every three TD's he's tossing two INT's.

LSU is just as good at turning the ball over. There's no difference in the offensive production (yards) when comparing Bama to LSU against Ole Miss. What did they do that Bama did not save win the game? Allowed Bo to have his mental break? Two scenes that can't be compared: night in BR vs at home in Oxford.

I find it funny you bring all these statistics into the conversation yet I believe TerryP brought up the actual statistics that show Death Valley at night is not necessarily a comparative advantage against top teams. Oxford, Gameday, #2 Alabama? Yeah, I have a feeling that was a pretty rowdy crowd, plus we get everyone's best shot.

Let me ask this... Who would you rather face, Collins and Williams or Fournette and McGee? Yeah, I think most of the country would rather play Arkansas than LSU. They started off slow, but are putting it together.

And a cannon of an arm can hurt our secondary that hasn't been strong against weaker arms. We're improving, but my entire point is that LSU is greatly improving and we should be on alert. So personally I don't care what makes sense to you, because it doesn't sound like much does. I feel as if more fans would sit with my opinion more than yours. You're essentially saying we outta destroy LSU and we have nothing to worry about because they run the ball worse than Arkansas, quarterback can't complete a pass half the time, and they can't hold on to the ball. Yeah, I'll stick with my opinion on this one.

My takeaway is that if LSU only attempts 16 passes against us, we will be in good shape.

On a side note, is Auburn only attempts 15 passes against us, I feel equally as confident that we will be fine.

LSu is getting better every week but still has a terrible QB problem IMO. They will be one dimensional for the most part which plays to our advantage.

Conversely, they have had some difficulty defensively this year in ways that i think will benefit Bama.

From what side of the game are you looking at here? How Bama covers kickoffs? Very, very little difference between the two teams even with the couple of massive breakdowns Bama has had this season. Punting coverages? LSU has punted 15-20 more times this season than Bama and is allowing over 100 yards per game more in returns.

How the two return kicks and punts? Very little difference in punt returns. Very little difference in kick returns as well.

I suspect the handful of mistakes (like lost containment by the 2's against A&M, the fumbles and mental miscues) are coloring your opinion a bit. As example, we're less than a month removed from Bama being ranked 100th+ in kick returns only to be in the top third halfway through the season.

Not much, really. Expected LSU to win the game and they did, although they tried their damndest to give it away. I said Ole Miss will have 3 losses at year end and I stand by it. We should have beat them, no questions asked. LSU is getting better. Still a ways away, but they're dangerous when they have to be.

I'm not sure I agree with ya. I don't think you supported your opinions even with your reply to him. Sure, LSU has more talent and has the luxury of having the same coaching staff/philosophies for a while now. I don't think anyone suggested that Alabama was going to destroy LSU. If you go back to the beginning of the season, LSU was supposed to have one of the better OL's in the league...which isn't hasn't lived up to yet. The bigger issue I think with LSU is the fact that Miles keeps recruiting the wrong type of QB for their system...

That being said, lets look at the two vs SEC opponents, specifically their running game.

• Arkansas after 4 games (Auburn, Alabama, Georgia, and Texas A&M) have rushed 152 times for 653 yds (4.296 yds per carry).
• LSU after 5 games (Auburn, Miss State, Florida, Kentucky, and Ole Miss) have rushed 228 times for 979 yds (4.293 yds per carry). LSU in the last 3 games has relied on their running game (50 carries against Florida, 51 against Kentucky, and 55 against Ole Miss).

LSU has given up 1437 rushing yards in 9 games, Alabama has only played 4 games only given up 625 yds. Let that sink in for a minute...

Sure, LSU has more talent and has the luxury of having the same coaching staff/philosophies for a while now. I don't think anyone suggested that Alabama was going to destroy LSU. Maybe I'm just dumb, but I don't understand exactly what you're trying to say? My initial point is that LSU is getting better. Their quarterback can sling the ball which is dangerous no matter what his completion percentage is, because in a close game it only takes one blown coverage and one perfect pass downfield to help you lose. LSU has a damn fine running game and we have a damn fine run defense. All I said is we should take this game like we do every year instead of one we know we'll win no matter what team we trot out into the field. Their athletes are just as good as our guys, much like every other year, so we better come in with our head screwed on straight or we'll be coming home with a second loss. And we probably won't have our best lineman that has a high ankle sprain.

I can't agree with you on the running games between the two.

UArk has a better performing offensive line and consistent quarteback play that makes their running game better.

I'll lay odds on UArk running all over LSU versus the other way around.

This game was exactly what I expected. Two lackluster offenses against two pretty good defenses. Low scoring with errors deciding the game.

Bo Wallace finally had the game we all knew he was capable of.

My wife and her family are from Pulaski; my sister-in-laws know Wallace well, and from what I here about him this does not surprise me.

But, "come on, man!" Fans rushing the field? A Saturday night game, at home in Death Valley (with all the "mystique" that's supposed to carry) and I'm left wondering "have you been there before?" They certainly didn't act like they had, eh?

Uhhh, It was an exciting game, Cuz! It wasn't decided until 2 seconds left and not a soul left early. If you haven't heard, Tiger Stadium has a famously excitable and exciting crowd that was in it the whole game and got into Bo Wallace's head. There were about 40 grinning recruits at the game and they got the whole show.
