In the interest of off-season, what's your favorite "Saban to..." rumor?

The "Saban to Cowboys" rumor seems to resurface regularly.

Do you have a personal favorite that makes you laugh (nervously or otherwise)?

That's what crossed my mind this morning. The last one was especially fun to watch. Seeing it start in a Boston paper, then that article being reprinted on four different media outlets which led to another article out of Cleveland stating "four major news outlets are reporting..." which was nothing more than four papers reprinting the original story? Hilarious. Especially given the point the original author mentioned he was speculating.

Of course, then one of our "local celebs" picks it up for AL.com and repeats the story.

That story fed a pet peeve and fed a sense of humor. I know you guys remember the story lines...the same week the major news outlets were reporting Saban isn't happy winning.

I heard he was supposed to replace Sally Field

in the ReMake- of "The Flying Nunn".

But he turned it down- because they would'nt

I heard he was going to Arizona to starts UFO cult. Even that is more realistic than some of the football rumors I have heard.

That he is having financial problems and that is why he is auctioning off the one house in GA, and that there are a group of well heeled boosters that have a reserve bid in place should it not fetch what he desires at ABSOLUTE AUCTION. Oh, and that while the UT offer last year was a huge concern to the very highest levels of hierarchy at UA, that it isn't a concern now.

And I'll give TP one guess as to where that came from.

So Im gonna be 100% honest right now... I legit hated Nick Saban... like FORREAL hated him when he was at LSU and for like 2 seconds I was mad that he was being rumored for the job. Then I remembered how many games he won and how many players he put in the league... I got over it quick. Now, my dad was HEATED at the Steve Spurier rumor when that started. I just thought Stevie was overrated.
