Anyone else notice that he looked very different on screen (kind of puffy) and seemed to have trouble finding his words? It seems like last year he was pulled due to illness, and he just doesnāt seem right this year.
Dang. That is kinda crazy. Hopefully he's alright but there's certainly something going on there...
I noticed a couple of years ago his face was chubby. Back in the day he looked to be in great shape and always sharp.
In terms of his work, it was pretty good. I kind of thought he owed Kiper his career since Kiper really paved the way with all the ESPN draft stuff and he came along for the ride... But it seemed like over time they got along better and worked well together
I certainly donāt know this to be the case but āIām going to take some time away to focus on my health and my familyā is often code for alcohol or drug addiction recovery.

I can't remember where he went to schoolāeast directional state ag u type of schoolābut I do remember his background a bit: walk-on QB, had to drop football due to a back injury. The back injury came to mind immediately.
While I didn't pay a lot of attention to what they talked about I heard several conversations last season questioning if he was under the influence when he was on air: slurred speech and "he doesn't look right" was mentioned often.
I didn't pay to much the first time watching the game and him. But I re watch it last night and yes he was dragging his words a lot. Some medicine will do this.
He definitely has a substance issue at hand. I first thought he was a little lit from sipping some alcohol but I have a friend who is in recovery from pain medication & it seems straight up like an opioid. Either way I wish him well.
