He missed yesterday's practice to attend his grandfather's funeral.

All accounts say he's SEC-ready physically, and he's getting tons of reps in the nickel package with the 1's, so as long as he stays healthy, you'll see him on the field come September 5th.

I want to know what it takes to be a Ute? Is there a Ute-like ritual or anything? The Utes are a fine team and I want to watch them play a few games this season. Unfortunately, I have Charter Cable and likely will not have access to the Utery conference.

We leave the secret rituals to BYU. :smile: All it takes is good taste in football and an appreciation for the color red to be a Ute.

Most of our games will be on the mtn, which won't be on your cable package. We will, however, play on ESPNU Sept. 12th; ABC/ESPN on Sept. 19th; CBS College Sports on Sept. 26th, Nov. 14th, and Nov. 28th; and on Versus Oct. 24th. Those four channels are on most cable packages, as far as I know.

Actually, the mtn is not available through Game Plan. When the MWC didn't renew their TV deal with ESPN after the 2005 season, that was the end of our conference games being anywhere near ESPN.

It's available through the sports pack on DirecTV, though.

I hope it unfolds as you stated. We need help in the secondary. If Bama had a weakness last year, it was the secondary.
And this year, it seems passing against Bama is the best choice. Last year, Alabama ranked 7th in the S.E.C in Q.B sacks.

Thanks, BamaUte. You guys will be on quite a few times this season. I can envision a 'Bama vs. Utes rematch this year. It will be for the national championship instead of a reg. bowl game.

That would be odd wouldn't it. A lot of good publicity could be built up around the event if done correctly. Bill it as a chance for redemption for a 'Bama team trying to reach the top of the hill. For Utah, they are out to prove last year was no fluke and they are here to stay as a major player.

I don't know if, with the schedule the Utes have, the votes would be there or not if it came down to another undefeated season. Maybe things will change in that regard one day.
