The Mini Cooper responses sort of shocked me. I thought they were pretty cool in The Italian Job. I had a CRX SI which is somewhat like those in that it was small and would "git!" I drove a Ford Fiesta 5-speed that was an early 80's model for a few weeks when I was in high school. Like the CRX, I could get that to bark, loudly, going into 3rd.

Now. The Miata IS the car that crossed my mind when I saw this from X.

Before I watched it I was going with the Mazda Miata. Mini Cooper is a close second.

I can agree with the Miata/MX5. Although if I had one I'd tune it like a Spec Miata race car, but go beyond the weight specs and rip out everything I didn't really need. There's a guy where I work that drives one. He's done quite a bit of stuff to it and I bet it can get up and go.
