šŸˆ What's the biggest sacrifice you've made to attend a Bama football game?

I'm reading Warren St John's book "Rammer Jammer Yellow Hammer", and there are some insane stories in that book. One couple skipped their daughter's wedding to attend a Bama-Tennessee game. A guy attended 500 games in a row.

What are some stories you guys have?

I rode a charter bus 37 hours from Salt Lake to New Orleans for the Sugar Bowl. We were stopped for three hours in a podunk town in southern Utah because we were overweight; we dumped the sewage tank in the middle of a Flying J truck stop parking lot in Albuquerque; and we got lost for an hour outside of Shreveport. That will be a story for the kids and grandkids.

Ryder Cup at Brookline vs Arkansas game in Tuscaloosa...chose the latter.

I still battle the thoughts of whether it was a bad decision. '99 was an interesting year and the game was a good one.

But, the Sunday matches were probably the best I'll see in my lifetime—rather, miss in my lifetime.

Our last SECC versus the last time to see Payne Stewart play in person.

Pflugner in Florida vs Michigan....arrrggghhhh. :swear:

Had my arm chopped off in the parking lot at Jordan Hair stadium by a crack-addicted AuNeck window washer.

I simply wrapped it up, put it in the cooler with the beer and it was okay. Luckily, I had a mini propane torch with me that I used to singe the empty socket and stop the blood loss.

Alabama won and I went home and had wifey sew the 'ole arm back on with some Spider wire fishing line.

Spring '08 - three Military buddies deployed in the Middle East, all to check into to three new and seperate commands once they return, buy 10 seats together. (Want to guy what 10 together goes for in March?) Blind faith - None having the first clue who to ask for permission to attend the game, yet all make it. One drove from Florida, one drove straight throuigh from Wisconsin, and one took a red-eye in from California the night before the game.

When you know what is important, you'll move mountains to make it so.
