1) I"m debating.
2) The dead in ATL. (Look at the next post.)
3) monsters of rock in Memphis. 1988. Here's how stupid I"I've been life. My Honday CRX - SI would bark in fourth gear. I did it on the loop a few times that night/day. Here is the lesson learned. They don't look for liquor in sun tan bottles. But, you will get laid in the LIberty Bowl Stadium.

I think it was April of '90. @Krimson the owner of the Mexican places. I'm with her son. Walking into Fulton County I stuck my palm out and got hit. HIT. Tripped for four days...because I came back. An acid inducted weekend I will not regret. A three day concert, where I had tickets to nice areas, and I never made it inside the stadium.

In the late 80's I was a tie-dyed, sandal wearing, fucker. Does that shock anyone?

@50+yeartidefan a good thing about Memphis. There was a point you could drive to Arkansas to get liquor in a minute. Same with Missisippi and beer.

On I-40, just over the bridge, was a drive through liquor/beer store open until 2, I think it was. Memphis closed liquor at 9 at the time. Its funny if you think about the state saying "drive across the line for more alcohol tonight."

Glad someone pointed out something GOOD about Memphis.

Favorite concerts? I have seen a good many bands, loved several. Others , not so much. One favorite was ELP at the BJCC. The guys rose up from underneath the stage, elevator style. Another favorite, Fleetwood Mac at Boutwell in Bham. Others at Boutwell, Journey, Bryan Adams, BTO, Bob Seger, Leon and Mary Russell was really good, Poco I saw at a night spot on Morris Av. in Bham, loved that one. I've been to two half a day half a night concerts, first one was at BIR at the old fairgrounds Bham, 1976 centennial concert Lynyrd Skynyrd, ZZ Top are two I remember. Around a 12 hour ordeal, too long ago to remember other bands. Also, attended a marathon concert in Atlanta at Ga. Tech football stadium. My friend and I were in and out of the place, don't remember much. Heart was there and I think Atlanta Rhythm Section was there. The whole trip was was a trip . My friend told me afterwards that I had a good time.

Least favorite, Kiss. Never liked them. Was not gonna go, but friends talked me into it, They payed my way. WTH?
Another was Led Zeppelin I love them, but they were turned up so loud, the music was distorted. I was disappointed to say the least.

Some of my memory vaults from my younger days have been misplaced or dissolved ?

Geeze. Not much of a rocker.
Went to 1964 couple times
And took ms50+ to johnny rivers. Our first date.
A few in Vegas. Old name groups without any of original members. Still good
Same for
Couple impersonators n impersonator groups here at our local theatre
Lol

As i said. Not much of a rocker

I went to a Joe Satriani concert and was blown her way by his talent to "sing without singing".. the man could play a guitar...This was in 1993.. I went to a Stone Temple Pilots and BoatHole Surfers concert, but was too drunk to really care, the same year..
One of the most enjoyable concerts I went to was Kid Rock at Oak Mountain..
I missed my buckets.. KISS, Metallica and GNR..

what year?

Can't say for sure. Legacy Arena opened Sept. 1976. I believe it was in that new Arena but could have been in what was known as the concert hall? The BJCC opened in 1972. They were having concerts there before Legacy Arena opened. Might have been from early 70's to late 70's. Before 80. Too much muddy water has flowed between my ears since that time.

1A: Motley Crue, 1990 Dr Feelgood tour.
Warrant opened. (Mobile AL)

1B: White Zombie, 1996 AstroCreep2000 tour
Opening acts sucked… ehg/deftones if I remember correctly. (Pensacola FL)

1C: Temptations and 4 Tops, 1990. (Memphis amphitheater).

After that is mush mash of hair bands, and a few country concerts.

Haven’t really been to many to be honest.
