šŸˆ What's next for Alabama after embarrassing Rose Bowl loss? Worst postseason effort warrants sweeping change

Agree completely on not apologizing for demanding excellence the issue lies in what some consider excellence imo. Making the playoffs and playing competitively in every game is pretty close to excellence imo. Some would only say excellence is winning the NC every other year. I don't think Saban could repeat his run with the current rules, or lack thereof, of today's football. I'm sure everyone defines excellence a little differently and that gives us something to talk about during the off season.
You are describing results, I am talking about excellence in how you do prepare and how you play. With that it goes both ways, Bama made the playoffs and won 11 games but how they played was far below excellence. That is why I do not consider this years as excellence.

At bama how you do it matters. There have been wins that I did not feel good about and there have been losses I felt ok about like the first game about OU this year (btw I never feel good after a loss).

I get what you're saying and agreed with that part earlier. The epic ass kickings of the last two years definitely didn't embody excellence. It happened a couple times while Saban was here but when it did it was unexpected. I never feel comfortable about how Bama is going to play now, too much inconsistency which I have a hard time with. I don't really have a problem with losing to a team that's as or nearly as talented but looking like a high school team playing a college team makes me wonder what's going on.

That being said, results usually follow closely to how you prepare and how you play. There's almost always a game or two in a season where a team figures out how not to lose but it's an ugly win or a game like the first Oklahoma game where they did about everything they could to keep themselves from winning but there shouldn't be the multiple shit the bed games yearly.

AFter the OU game I was thinking ok they have refound their mojo from early in the year. Clean up the penalties and we can get on a roll. We know how that turnd out in the end unfortunatley.

I think we all kinda thought that....little did we remember...we still can't run ball
Oklahoma shouldn't have been in the playoffs. They were a pretender team.... and in all honesty, wo were we. Don't get me wrong though... given the other teams that may have been in place of us, I think we deserved to be in the playoffs.... but we were obviously not a top 5 team.

Looking other 3.
Texas
Byu
Vandy

Maybe ahead of bama or ok

But

Definitely ahead of Tulane or JM

And

Bama and/or ok. Definitely ahead of G5s

And one big thing to me
Bama was regular season SEC champs.

So. Thats a reason or 3. Why ok n bama dont have to apologize.
It happens when cfp expanded. Still didn't get best 12 in because of "flower power"
