USC has a 49.9% to make the playoff? Clemson is at 45.5% We been talking about tOSt making it with a 5-0 record, so does USC the same?

Bama at 99.3% Title 58.7%
tOSt 87.7 22.8%
ND 69.2% 5.9%
USC 49.7% 1.8%
Clem 45.5% 8.4
Tex A&M 33.7% 1.6%

What you guys think? Will Bama get to play USC after the first game didn't happen?

Final 4 will look like this …….. IF Clemson wins
BAMA
ND
Clemson
Ohio State

Should Clemson lose Final 4
BAMA
ND
Ohio State
USC should they win (if not, A&M gets the nod)

Clemson heads will explode since Dabo has gone around popping off at the mouth.
Neither of these represent where I believe they will rank, just top 4.

You're saying if Clemson wins the rankings don't change?

Neither USC nor ohio state has enough of a body of work to justify putting them in the playoffs.
The media love for ohio state is sickening. I have heard a number of excuses why the comittee should include them. To no one's surprise the B1G changed the rules to allow them (ohio st) to play in the B1GCG - it gives them another "tie-breaker". The CFP should set a minimum because you have to have enough data to analyze. 5 games is NOT enough! Not to mention the fact that while other participants have had to play about 10 games or more and deal with injuries and fatigue that comes with the longer season, ohio state and USC have not had that long grind and are much "healthier".

So you think AnM overOSU?... or who?
USC....their wins have been AU-ish...

We can complain all we want but realistically it would be hard to not say OSU is one of the 4 best teams if for no other reason their roster. Maybe a way to think of this which would be a tougher opponent to play OSU or some other team when comparing.

Pretty sure the answer is clear on OSU or USC? No brainer. Might get a little harder with A&M but not much. Bigger challenge would be UGA right now honestly.

IMO.... if Clemson wins, let's say by a TD or less, I believe they will keep Notre Dame in there.
Yep only way for ND to be in trouble would be if they got embarrassed by being blown out. I am one that believes this is possible. Still thinking of ND as they have been for the last 20-30 years. They may surprise me.

Probably true, but not playing anywhere close to the number of games Alabama, ND, Clemson, Texas A&M or Florida play is where the problem is. Each game, regardless of the opponent, has a risk of winning or losing. tOSU by only playing five games has not had the same risk of loss as other teams. Example: Florida played LSU. Nobody expected LSU to win for many reasons. However, that's why you play the game. Upsets occur. Florida faced a risk of loss by playing the game. tOSU has not faced the same potential for loss by playing five games against lower-level opponents. It's like Alabama only playing Vandy, Miss State, Missouri, Arkansas and South Carolina.

I happen to agree with you here. And a point that I don't think even the committee could answer is, "so if you're not coming out with the first Playoff rankings until Week 8 due to the fact you can't grade teams due to data points, how can you all of a sudden grade an Ohio State team with five wins".

I understand it's a different year and different teams had played a different amount of games by then, but at that point Alabama had played seven games, Clemson and Notre Dame eight games, so still more than the four Ohio State has played. Another point is that at this juncture Alabama, Clemson, and Notre Dame has played ten games and Ohio State is sitting at five games. So while these other teams have played three to four more games each, Ohio State has played one. That definitely limits the chances of getting beat, injuries that occur, or even virus issues a la Clemson with Trevor Lawrence and Alabama with Coach Saban's absence. I just say all of this to make the point that Ohio State doesn't deserve the opportunity because their "data points" aren't able to be calculated because they haven't measured up to the committee's own parameters for creating a Top 4.

I believe a lot of people still think of Clemson in the light of the 2018 season. They aren't. I won't pick ND to win, but I do think they cover.
