very good article and very true about Bama football and UK basketball being similar in many ways...

I can definitely see the parallels, being a Bama fan and living in the Commonwealth.

These folks here eat, sleep and breathe UK Basketball, just as folks in Bama do for Football.

Both are once proud programs that went out and hired the best coach they could find to return their programs to prominence and paid big bucks to do so.

Both programs have dominated the SEC in the two respective sports. Both have hung plenty of national titles to go with the SEC championships.

So yes, I have to agree, there are many similarities between the Bama Football and UK Basketball programs.

I think the whole world has a complex with Saban...Saban has almost reached an "Elvis" type of personification as a football coach.
