Understand that Blake Barnett works with George Whitfield every time he has off time, wondering who the others work with and how does this work? Do the players' families pay for this "betting on the come" so to speak or does the school pick this up?
Do it seem to make a difference in the QB's ability to master the offense or just throwing motion and ability?
Seems Blake Sims worked with a guy in Florida during down times and was always reading that Jake Coker spent every free minute with this long time coach in Mobile.
Who do the other QB's work with? Is there an advantage over being at school working with the WR's and other QB's?

I can't answer all of the questions, but:

An outside QB coach works with the player on fundamentals (throwing motion, 3-step/5-step/7-step drops, motion transfer, etc). They don't know the offense enough to work on specific plays. The player's knowledge of the offense can help to integrate drills with play calls, but the coach isn't privy on anything going on in Kiffin's head. A player could do the same drills on their own, but the eyes of a coach identifies things that seem right but aren't.

The player or his family is responsible for the fees. Players cannot receive services "betting on the come" as this would be against NCAA rules much like an agent. Not saying it hasn't happened.

Thanks OP, I was wondering about who was paying for Blake Sims, (as I read, Jake had been working with his guy since HS, and apparently BB8 has been also.) Sims would have come to the dance late since he was all over the roster until very late.
found this:
