Something that I have been thinking about recently.
What if Coach Bryant had taken the original HC job with the Miami Dolphins? What if, after their first two years (1965 & 1966) he decided the pro game was not for him? What if, after their 5-4-1 season in 1966, LSU decided that instead of the Paul Bryant protege-Charlie McClendon- they could have him instead? What if coach Bryant had done all he did between 1967 and 1982 with LSU instead of with Bama?
Guys and gals, I wouldn't even be here writing this if all of the above had happened. I would have died of a stroke or heartbreak or something if Coach Bryant had spent his last 15 years at LSU.
