With all due respect to those who are worried about Ole Miss, I looked up our series history with them: approximately 88% win rate over the Rebs. Just hard for me to get worked up about them, yet!

Believe it or not, the WVU defense is what to worry about. They went through some depth issues later on last season because of injuries AND they bring back several players on that side of the ball. Game 1, all should be healthy. And they will be bringing the odd-stack 3-3-5 that gave many larger, slower teams fits a few years ago.

I'm sufficiently confused.

Is it the returning players that should be cause for worry? The same players that were allowing over 500 yards per game (conference play) last year?

Is it the odd-stack that should be cause for worry? It gave "many larger, slower teams fits a few years ago?" I assume you're going back to the Big East time. What kind of fit did it give LSU in 2011? Or Auburn in 2009?

That 3-3-5 approach will end up being a Cover 0 by the mid point of the first quarter.

Yes, I see them shooting gaps and taking the legs of our backs on the edge on stretch plays early, but I also see our WR and OJ making big plays down the middle of the field, perhaps some middle screens go big as well.

Definitely Auburn. Through six decades I have watched the Iron Bowl. Doesn't matter who should win. Upsets abound. I believe the Iron Bowl will determine SEC West Champions. I know many people predict Auburn to self destruct with a difficult schedule. I believe Malzahn has to be a good coach to pull off what he did last year. Seriously hope I'm dead wrong.

Don't be confused. Just watch their Fiesta Bowl against OU when their D-line was outweighed by an average of 50 lbs per man against OU's O-line.

Auburn, LSU and Ole Miss. All three are scary to me.

The big issue is that we play a bunch of cupcakes until Ole Miss. There is no way that we can figure out what works playing cupcake teams. Usually everything we do works and we put in the second string early. Ole Miss will be a challenge because we will have 4 win streak that means very little and probably a motivated Florida team. They will not lay down . Why the by week after them????????

Then we play 7 games in a row that will be SEC tough. Then a cupcake before Allbarn. I do like the by week after Tennessee.

Ole Miss and LSU are going to be tough. Allbarn will be a reckoning coming.

After the loss to Ole Miss, a better question to ask is "What games don't scare you?". This season is starting to have a 2007 feel about it. I am only not concerned about Western Carolina.
