🏈 What are the chances of D Moses & J McMillon back as LB's for the playoff's

ATL, FWIW.

FWIW, I believe they would consider Atlanta as an advantage to Bama and place them in Phoenix. Also, I believe LSU would request Phoenix over Atlanta with what little say they would have in the matter. And it is my understanding the #1 team has very little to none. The advantage decision is made by the committee.

"B. When assigning teams to sites, the committee will place the top two seeds at the most advantageous sites, weighing criteria such as convenience of travel for its fans, home‐crowd advantage or disadvantage and general familiarity with the host city and its stadium. Preference will go to the No. 1 seed."

Putting OSU against Clemson in ATL isn't putting the #2 team in its most advantageous site. That's a two hour drive for the #3 team versus an hour longer for ATL.

Six of one, half of a dozen of another leaving me with the ol' standby, "I ain't got a freakin' clue what they'll do."

And when it gets to six of one, half of a dozen of another, the preference goes to the #1 team. Which is why that is in there. Not because the #1 team has any say.

I was under the impression that McMillon was going to get a medical redshirt.

JMO but the fact McMillon was expected to be the starter wasn't due to after 5 years the light had come on and he was a Hoss but instead he was the better option of those behind him. The fact these two young'uns had to start pretty much proves Nick and staff failed at ILB recruiting over these past 2 years and maybe 3.

How can you consider Kaho (2 years ago) and Moses (3 years ago) failures in recruiting? Add in Chris Allen (tore ACl last year)(2 years ago), Shane Lee, (1 year ago), Christian Harris (1 year ago), Braswell coming after this season, and then look at the guys that left early. We missed on some guys, just like every other program in the country, but we have not failed at the position by a long shot.

If #10 can't get minutes at ILB at this point VS 8,35,and 36 then he will never play. 32 was a really good player. 42 is a roster filler and 1 is a recruiting miss. Kirby and Pruitt took some of our cruits and they will take more in the future. 8 and 35 play because there is NOBODY behind them. After 8 games what have you seen out of 8 and 35 that make you believe they will be elite? The very fact that 36 is he ILB on passing downs shows just have bad the ILB position is today for that guy is pitiful but he starts.

8 and 35 have put in killer minutes and given us a stout run defense in a year that no one, including coaches expected them to see the field. They may not be great in pass coverage, but our entire team seems to stink at that. Once again, you jump off the deep end by calling our guys bad players. You're notorious for a quick uneducated take if things aren't 100% perfect. Matter of fact, can't recall a positive take from you, ever. Kaho will be playing a lot more next year. After his personal issues and weight loss, he'll get it all back with another off-season. Remember, CJ Mosely and Reuben Foster weren't starters till their senior years and they turned out well. Ben Davis was a definite miss, and one that many can't explain. All I know is that we are in good hands from a linebacker prospective going forward. Find another set of linebackers in the country that have performed better than our two true freshmen. Find me two more young guys performing better on a younger defense. I'll wait...

CJ was playing a ton as a frosh, if not starting... Rueben was more of a late bloomer for sure.

Just a combo of injuries, the draft, and yes some recruiting misses have hurt that position this year. Next year they will be better... Hopefully significantly with the noted experience they got this year

A medical Redshirt would be applied to someone who has played more than 4 games and is then injured and also has a redshirt year available. He has neither... so no.

He'd have to apply for a 6th year waiver, and I don't remember his story; but those are typically only given to players that lose two years to injury. If he just sat out a year because he wasn't good enough to make the field it would not be likely he'd qualify. The NCAA has been softer of late so maybe he'd get lucky, but I wouldn't expect it.

Uhhh, ya know he may decide not to play anymore?

Seriously? Yes, you could say that about every single player that steps on a field. They may decide not to play anymore. But there is absolutely no reason to believe that would be the case with Josh if he was given another year, unless you know something that literally no one else seems to know...

You assume our two freshmen LBers will be better in 2020....that IS YOUR EDUCATED GUESS? I assume you assumed #10 was going to better this year as well but he can't even get minutes from those 2 freshmen. F O Skippy.
