I thought the same thing about J Winston. That didn't turn out as expected as he's making his way.If anybody drafts Sanders they will regret their decision for years.
Would you have taken Sanders over Milroe at Bama? Not being a smartass - legitimate question. I think he's more of a passer than Milroe, but I would not want the "Sanders Circus" that would come with him.If anybody drafts Sanders they will regret their decision for years.
Is your goal, as a GM, a QB today? Are you planning on "throwing him to the wolves" like we've seen franchises do, and make mistakes?Would you have taken Sanders over Milroe at Bama? It’s extremely apparent that Sanders is a tremendous athlete. But we both know the NFL landscape is scattered with “tremendous athletes “ (and other pro leagues)Is your goal, as a GM, a QB today? Are you planning on "throwing him to the wolves" like we've seen franchises do, and make mistakes?
I'm interested in how he translates from being "a big fish in a small pond" to "just another fish in the barrel."
Who drafted Winston and where is he today? How many years after he was drafted? Not a good investment by the team that drafted him.I thought the same thing about J Winston. That didn't turn out as expected as he's making his way.
I thought the same thing about Manziel. That turned out exactly as we expected.
Here ... I'm thinking "train wreck" off the field, but "he can ball."
Deion in Dallas with his son would give us Hard Knocks live every Sunday afternoon. I don't believe we could make up the stories that would follow.
Sanders has skills, but his off-field antics and ego will cause problems - both on the field and during negotiations.Would you have taken Sanders over Milroe at Bama? You'd probably know more about this than me. I know he was drafted by Tampa. I know this is his third stop (after being drafted in 2015.) Was his second team Houston or New Orleans? I know South and gulf; thinking it was with the Saints.Who drafted Winston and where is he today? How many years after he was drafted? Not a good investment by the team that drafted him.
May or may not be making it in the league, but he has cashed a LOT of checks! You'd probably know more about this than me. I know he was drafted by Tampa. My point remains, right? We thought he was going to be a guy that crashed and burned. But, after being drafted in the 2015 and now we're day one into 2025 and he's still active.
That's "making it in the league" from my perspective.
Is it any different that the "journeymen" on the PGA tour? You don't see them win but on rare occasions but they are depositing paychecks each outing.May or may not be making it in the league, but he has cashed a LOT of checks!
At the end of my work day I want $$ not recognition! LolIs it any different that the "journeymen" on the PGA tour? You don't see them win but on rare occasions but they are depositing paychecks each outing.
Seems simple. If you are doing something, you are not only getting paid but paid well, and you're entering your 10th year ... yeah, you're making it.

To me, his first strike would be his coach now! Some of the crap he has pulled on the side line and toward the players.Would you have taken Sanders over Milroe at Bama? With Saban's relationship with Deion, if he were at Bama under Saban I think we'd have seen a different kid on the field. Maybe not. It didn't work out with Duron but Chris had high hopes for Saban's influence.Would you have taken Sanders over Milroe at Bama? Not being a smartass - legitimate question.
