If you want a rabbit hole to dive into ... a thought crosses my mind.
I've seen Murph tweet congrat messages to dozens of softball figures over the years. This morning, I can't remember him ever mentioning Gasso. I'm probably wrong ... but I wonder what a Twitter search would yield.
I'd do it now...but I can't make the time for several hours.

We all know Murphy is just going to promote a volunteer.
Yeah I knew this, but I was hoping against hope. Ya know??
Evidently Byrne doesn't think there's a problem, either.

Byrne's been in attendance for multiple series (including the home loss to auburn). He absolutely knows there a problem. Murphy is just blind.
Why give him an extension if he knows there's a problem? That would require a get your act together next season or you're out of here meeting.
